About Me

I'm a music nut! I love all of it. But I find it warms my heart more to play and listen to contemporary Christian. I try to surround myself daily with encouraging music. Back when I listened to Rush Limbaugh, he used to talk about 'equal time', and thats how I feel
about the type of music I listen to and play. For 35 years I gave the world all my musical
interests and talents, the next 35 (or more) belong to God. I play a bunch of musical insturments: piano..keyboards.. guitar, bass, violin ( a little) , banjo.. I just found out how to play the drums.. (some) .. my next will probably be the dobro.
I work at the phone company AT&T for 17 years now, where I' ve done just about everything from an operator to climbing telephone poles, working and supervising. I'm currently an engineer/ designer, drawing up telephone cable blueprints for subdivisions, or whatever Ma Bell needs at the moment.
I have a fabulous family a caring and supportive wife, and 4 great children! We belong to the most amazing church family at Cleary Baptist Church !

Movies

Ive watched too many movies, Most (as a parent) I wouldnt recommend watching. I got involved in the Matrix trilogy with a friend of mine at work basically who could quote the most lines in the movie.. yep wasted 3 years of my life for nothing. However, for the past 14 years (and 4 kids), cartoons have been my forte mostly VEGGIE TALES!!

Music

This website isnt big enough to list my musical interests. But I do have a very strong Blues background on the guitar..Eric Clapton.. Stevie Ray Vaughn..Taj Mahal.. David Bromberg..Eagles.. another wasted session in my life ( 10 years I cant get back..I'm pretty tough on myself aren't I?) Below are a few of my (and Brooks') favorites

Books

Currently reading the GOOD BOOK. Challenging myself to read more daily. Ive never read the Bible thru! And never read the Bible on a daily basis till last year (yes it's a confession). I went to a Christian school, and a Christian college.. it was like a textbook.. Im over that.. Now I read at least a chapter a day, I have to make up extra chapters on the days I miss. JOIN ME!!

Television

We un-subscribed to all television programming after being a tv-aholic for all my life I can truly say I dont miss it at all. We are charter members of Sky Angel mostly all christian/ religous programming and music ( works off dish network ) .. I feel TV is a very distructive element, causing moral and financial decline among fellow Christians (passive destructive) second only to the internet (active destructive) Yadda Yadda Yadda
