Freedom Gal 5:1 says, it is for freedom that Christ has set us free, stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. What is true freedom? Is freedom setting on your front porch enjoying the summer breeze? Maybe Freedom is taking a long drive in the country with no real destination on a Sunday afternoon. Some might think freedom is being a free spirit so to speak and doing whatever you want no matter what the risk, just as long as it makes you happy. What about money is that what truly makes us happy or free? I have thought I found freedom many times in my life, but I never understood real freedom until I gave my life to Christ. Some might think that being a Christian is a form of bondage but I have experienced the bondage of lots of things and Christ has never made me feel bound. I believe religion can make us feel bound as well as other people. Also we may feel bound by other things in life, but never by Christ. As long as we keep our eyes on Christ and remember that he has truly set us free from sin and bondage, it is there that we will find freedom and all that other stuff won’t seem to bother us as much. I believe true freedom in Christ comes from with in ourselves it’s finding who you are in Christ and letting God meet you where you are at. Just remember God wants you to be who he created you to be and he loves you no matter what and he wants us to have true freedom in him. 2Cor. 3:17 says: Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the spirit of the Lord is there is freedom. I truly believe that, don’t you?
