| I grew up in Mississippi and Louisiana - born and bred Southern Belle : ) I love Southern weather, Southern food, Southern sports and the Southern drawl. I went to school at Southern Mississippi and came up here shortly thereafter. I have been here for about 6 1/2 years and have really enjoyed it so far. I met my husband Tom in New Years Eve, 2002/2003 and we were married at FBC on April 8, 2006. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our daughter, ETA August 5th, and are just overcome with excitement of becoming parents. We both enjoy travelling and can't wait to take her along! | | Interests I love music! I sing with the Washington Women's Chorus & I also teach the FBC children's choir which is a wonderful group of children. I love spending time with my husband, Tom, and our very large (90 pounds!) Golden Retriever, Max. I enjoy reading, taking walks, playing the piano, eating, trying to master the guitar, travelling, getting baby Carley's room ready, and catching up with friends. I love fresh flowers, lots of pictures that I put all over our house, animals of most all kinds, and musical theatre. I am also an avid football fan. I love LSU and USM football, as well as the Colts, the Packers, the Saints and the Redskins. Thanks to my Indiana-bred husband, I also really enjoy basketball and over the last 4 years, I have become IU's biggest fan! | | Movies Gone with the Wind, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Sweet Home Alabama, The Last Supper, Philadelphia, Steal Magnolias, Shawshank Redemption, and Driving Miss Daisy are just some of my favorites. I also like almost any sports related movie - Remember the Titans, Hoosiers, Coach Carter, Glory Road, Field of Dreams, A League of Their Own, and even Air Bud (Basketball and Goldens - what could be better?) | | Music Way too much to even name, but right now, I specifically am into a lot of newer folk music, a lot of people that most people I know have never even heard of - Steve Forbert, Peirce Pettis, Kate Campbell, Paul Thorn, and Tracy Grammer. All of them are just excellent. I am a bit obsessed with the musical Wicked and have it on almost permanent play when I am at work. | | Books I like the Shopoholic series, I love To Kill A Mockingbird- it still makes me cry. Other favorites are Marley and Me, The Devil Wears Prada, Gods in Alabama, God's Politics, Where the Heart Is, and Five People you Meet in Heaven. As soon as I am done with What to Expect. . .I plan to go back to reading non-baby related books! | | Television We actually don't watch that much television. We watch a lot of CNN and for whatever reason, I am a little addicted to Deal or No Deal and 1 Versus 100. I do love the Law and Order series but find that I can't stay up until the end. |

You like Kate Campbell? Me too! You know she's singing at the CBF General Assembly in June, right? I hope you've registered!
