Hello My Friends,
My name is Erasmo(Eddie) Sanchez. I was born in Galveston,Texas on February 22, 1957 and have lived my entire life in Galveston County. I grew up in LaMarque and moved to Texas City early in my adult life. God blessed me early in life with Sharon. We dated in high school and married shortly after. We have been married thirty-one years. We have three children - Patrick David, Michael David, and Casey Lynn. We have also been blessed with two grandchildren - Patrick David Jr. and Gabriel Christen.
Jesus has been a part of my life for many years. Although I did not accept Him as my Lord till in my early twenties he was very much a part of my childhood. Growing up in the Catholic Church I was taught that He is the son of God and that He came in the flesh to die for my sins, but also grew up with all the tradition of the church. My mom would tell me what saint to pray to for certain things. But I guess I was somewhat rebellious and decided to only pray to Jesus at an early age. I mean, it only seemed to make sense - He is the son of God. Why would I want to pray to any one else? And so even as a child I prayed through Jesus only.
As written earlier, I recieved Jesus as my Lord when I was in my early twenties. After I got married I fell away from the Catholic Church. In fact, I fell away from church all together. There's alot of detail in my falling away from the Catholic Church, but I don't know how much space is available. Because of a co-worker who would not give up on me I visited a Baptist church and got saved. I had never before heard the Word of God really preached. This was good and I was hungry for all I could get. I have to give it up to the Baptist for introducing me to a relationship with Jesus. I spent some years there and then started searching again. I was never really comfortable with once saved - always saved. I have worshipped with The Chuch of God , The Church of the Nazarene, Santa Fe Christian Church, CrossRoad Covenant Church and currently His Touch Ministries(Assemblies of God). I have met many brothers and sisters in Christ who truly love our Lord in all of the chuches I attended.
God continues to bless me. His Touch Ministries is very much alive in Christ Jesus. You feel God's Love when in the presence of this body. Worship service is unbelievable. Hearts are focussed on lifting praises to our Heavenly Father through our precious Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Pastor David preaches with conviction and a heart for his church. Bible study is awesome. The whole church is present and participates.
My prayers are to continue growing in Christ. I have so much work to do. Much of my ministry is at my job. I look for and take every opportunity to share my saviour. There are so many that are hurting - many that are'nt even aware of it. It is important for me to have a chuch base for support and to uplift many of those that are in need of a saviour. God has blessed me once again with a good home base. Praise be to you Father God!!! | | Interests Dallas Holm was the first christian artist that I started listening to. His song "Rise Again" is what caught my interest. I have alot more of his music than listed. I also have more of some of the other artist. | | Movies | | Music | | Books | | Television I guess most of what I watch is on Lifetime 'cause that is what Sharon is usually watching. I occasionally like to watch the Weather channel specials, Discovery channel and Texas Hold-Em. |
