Midlands regional youth camp is coming up soon. It is a great time for children in the Midlands region to get together and experience a relationship with Christ. If you would like more information on the Midlands Region Church of God Youth Camp please see our web page at Relevantcog.org.This year the camp runs from June 25th - June 29.
I have sent three of my kids for years. It all started the year my daughter turned 7. She was little for her age, and was afraid to go by herself. Since then she has grown in size and in Christ every year. Last year, was on of ther most memorable with the rock wall, the swimming and Julian Drive did worship at our camp. To her that was one of the most important things, Worship witht a live band who in her eyes were "cool". (Probably no the right word to use.) This year she is 14 and is looking forward to the friends from all over the region whom she has been going to camp with for 7 years. Most of the kids she knows from year to year, but there are alswys new friendships that form every year. All of the kids have been really good about accepting the kids for their ability, strengths, and different areas of interest. Kids who like science and math are just as accepted as those who like sports and I believe that the camp does a far share of all types of activities.
This camp is one that the kids can go to knowing that they are going to have a great time, and that the parent will be able to know that they wont be exposed to the things of th is world. there are regular services, awesome worship, and an experience that will last a life time. There are friendships that will last forever and they are made at camps like this one.

This year my youngest son turns of age to go. How great for me. I have a week of no kids... I am going to be soooo bored. Maybe the house will stay cleaner? nah when they leave I will probably clean and gut the house..Maybe?

Dear Chruch Family,
My friend Mylinda Donald is in the Nursing home. She had her right leg amputated earlier this month. She has a blood clotting disorder that is closing off the arteries to her leg. And she is at risk for losingthe other one. Chris her husband is still working on top of visiting her in the Nursing home. I was wondering if there is anyone who would be willing to make a few meals so that I may take them to his home in Altoona. I am going out there on Friday night to do some much needed work, and would love to give him a few meals other than the deer and carrots he is eating this week. Mylinda is in her mid-40's and has 1 daughter Paula. Paula has 4 kids who range in age from 2-7 years old. They stay with grandpa 3 nights a week. Hmmm... My prayer... My thoughts....I couldn't ask God to be a fairer God. Although at times it is hard for a person to keep all of these things in mind in our daily activities. Storing those commandments... keeping them right where they need to be.
"My child, never forget the things I have taught you. Store my commands in your heart, for they will give you a long and satisfying life. Never let loyalty and kindness get away from you! Wear them like a necklace; write them deep within your heart. Then you will find favor with both God and people, and you will gain a good reputation.
