Howdy saints from the piney woods of east Texas. Alice, Robin and I (along with 4 dogs and multi species animals) share a small parcel of land we call Texas Eden. We love getting together with folks as we 'fellership' among His nature, worship together, and encourage one another in the Lord. Our dream is to provide spiritual weekends for folks spending quiet time contemplating their/our Father and how they/we fit into His plan.
We believe living for God involves a more open approach. Open to God in teaching and maturing us, as we stretch one another by sharing our journey with the Lord and the lessons we have learned along the way. That's what we call 'fellership.'
More detailed background info can be found at www.fellership.com. Check out Got Fellership? Forum while your at it and share your own ideas and experiences!
I love learning from others and have a particular interest in discussing and discovering more about Old Testament types, symbolism and allegories, particularly in Genesis and the parables.. I also love learning more about God through His creation.
We love spending time with friends. The best times are spend outside around a bonfire enjoying God's creation and sharing Him with one another. Now - that's church!
We raise ducks and geese and have some wonderful canine friends. We enjoy traveling and meeting people as well as attending concerts. I guess you could say we love life and we love fellershiping about God's life in us with others.
Movies
Music
Songs that tell a story - Country, Texas Country, Praise and Worship, Vineyard music.
Books
Deep spiritual books, biographies of past saints, non fiction and lately books on Islam and conversions of Muslims to Jesus.
I also love reading the late 19th and early 20th century Christian writers like Andrew Jukes, C.H. McIntosh, G.H. Pember, G.H. Lang, E.W. Bullinger, Jeanne Guyon, Fenelon, Brother Lawrence, Andrew Murray, Watchman Nee, T.Austin Sparks, A.W. Tozier, DeVern Fromke, C.S. Lewis..the list goes on & on.
Television
TV time is getting more and more limited...the occasional good biblical/science show on Discovery, History or Learning channel.
But I'd much rather fellership with friends :)
