This is exactly what I have been talking about. What IF this happens? How will this affect the 21st century church and us?
"This is a chilling article about the fact that Obama is a muslim apostate. The security complications for him as a president would be complicated, to say the least. He might simply not be able to visit muslim countries out of concern for his safety, and he would surely be a target here at home.
Here we have the viciousness of Islam revealed in as clear a manner as anyone could ask for. Let there be no mistake, the great conflict of civilizations will be ratcheted up a notch, but it may also be an opportunity for many muslims to see the flaws in their belief system. May God lead them to abandon the error they are in and seek God's truth in Christianity."

Let's talk about the 5 fold ministry. Let's start with the Gift Offices. Let's start with the first one listed in Eph 4:11 the "Apostle." What is your take on His role and function?
KULE. I have an opinion, but let's see if others respond first.
What say ye saints?

OK, I'm through asking questions. Actually, I have a ton more I could ask, but I don't want to be divisive in the body of Christ. I appreciate everyone input.
If anyone else would like to take this opportunity to ask a question regarding 1st century and 21st century church beliefs or practices, now is your chance. Please feel free to respond in a comment and I will insert it here or start your own blog. I think it is important to ask such questions. There is nothing wrong with asking, all I ask is that you don't belittle and grind your ax with YOUR own pet peeves.
To me, there are so many practices and beliefs the 21st century church has applied to "churches" and their teachings that just don't line up with the 1st century church, that they need to be addressed. All I ask, is seek the Lord first and see if your heart is one with God's heart.
I hope that others will continue to comment on the 3 questions that have already been submitted. There is nothing wrong with asking. Thomas asked about the Lord's resurrection and he was invited to touch the wounds. What an act of mercy and non judgmental kindness. So please ask, not just for yourself, but for the sake of others who may be afraid to ask.
You can send a private message or post freely in the comments of this blog and I will post your question as a blog here along with mine.

Question 3: How can/does the 21st century church fulfill the admonition found in Eph. 4:12 and equip the saints for the "...work of ministry (single) for the building up of the body of Christ?" It seems to me when we read body and membersin ICor.12, Rom.12, Eph.4, Col.2, etc., the 21st century church puts that in context to the local assembly and individual saints in that location. I don't think the 1st century church saw it that way.
There is only ONE body, so this does not seem to be directed toward each individual "church" but it does seem to be directed to each individual member of Christ's body. Christ's body was broken for us that we as members, though many, might be ONE bread, ONE loaf.

You are invited to add your own question also. State the question in your comment and I will add it to this blog. If you want to go to the original post and read the intro: click here

Many Christian missionaries have tried for many, many years to "bring the gospel" to the Islamic nations with very little outward success. What if God is bringing the Islamic nations to the Christian nations (unbeknown) to them to SEE the gospel lived out in sacrifice and love just like in the 1st century? Perhaps, even unto martyrdom for "... SO LOVED THE WORLD!" Wouldn't that be something?
I'm wondering if God is preparing hearts NOW for that day. And in His wisdom, it will also purify the body of Christ and turn us all back to our first love again. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This thought was brought to you via a comment made on this previous blog
