Hello Elim!!!
Sooo... Hhhhmmmm...what new things can I tell my Elim Family about my Self that you don't already know? Let me see.... Well, I will start with.... I have 3 very beautiful daughters (J'Essence Imani - age 11; Justice Aaliyah - age 6... soon to be 7; and Joyous Aiyanna - age 3). It amazes me the number of Elim-ites who either don't know I have children OR say they've never seen them.... even members who I've known for a while now. Amazed, yet not totally surprised because my girls are with their dad every other Sunday. For this reason, you don't see them often. Having said that, if you've not had the opportunity to meet them, I look forward to introducing you!!!
I was born and raised in Washington D.C.. Attended Morgan State University (undergrad); UNC-Greensboro (grad school) and am currently enrolled at Apex School of Theology where I hope to finish in Spring 2009 with a Master of Arts Degree in Christian Counseling. In addition to being a Mother and Full-time Student, I am also an 8th Grade English/Language Arts Teacher, a Business Owner (Poetic Justice Hand Bath & Body/Joyous Excursions Travel), Founder of The Eagle Group (Financial Empowerment Team) and most recently The Eagle Group (Health & Wellness Team). I am also planning to introduce The Eagle Group (Business Development Team) to support new Entrepreneurs as they Launch Into Action (we've been doing a lot of that lately in the financial group). In 2006, I declared my Self an Eagle!!! What do Eagles do? SOAR!!! I am passionate about equipping and empowering others to reach the summit with me.
Far more important than my accomplishments...here's what I really want you to know about me. I am BEYOND A DOUBT God's MOST FAVORITE Daughter:)!!! While that may seem a little arrogant, the truth is... WE ARE ALL GOD'S FAVORITES!!! It's a position that we don't have to compete for since His lap is big and strong enough to hold us all at the same time. Our Daddy is indeed AWESOME!!!
I am looking forward to the opportunity to use MyChurch as a vehicle to get to know my Elim Family in a more intimate way. My desire is to share REAL ME because I want to know REAL YOU!!! We are all quite busy with individual projects and personal endeavors and responsibilities. At times, that makes it difficult to connect with you guys on a deeper level. The fact that we belong to a growing ministry makes it even more challenging.
I've decided to give MyChurch a try with hopes of making deeper connections (despite all my busy-ness). I have personally committed to giving 100% to this MyChurch Journey (for me it's always either "all" or "nothing"), and I thank each of you in advance for sharing the Journey with me. I believe this will be a time of growth & development (personal/spiritual/ social, etc.) and just plain ole fun!!!
