I'm Grammy Brenda, married to the long-suffering Larry. (He would be glad to tell you just how long he's been suffering being married to me.) My kids are Jordan, Jedidiah, Pepper, Holly, Israel, Luke, and Gabriel.
Christian upbringing...with roots in both the Assembly of God and Methodist Church...(meaning that I can sit still and behave in church if I have to, but I'd rather move with the music and tend to pray longer than most folks like)...Mom of seven, grammy of three -- and would love to have another seven or more (preferably through adoption, as I don't care for morning sickness)... We live in the country with horses, cattle, dogs, cats, and whatever the kids drag home....a typical evening at home involves music, books, animals, creativity, and lots of dirty dishes! Having lived here for most of my life, I have more than one church family. As Pastor Bruce once said, "We're all on the same team!" Some of my favorite people in the entire world attend New Life Foursquare Church, Emmanuel Temple, Family Praise Center, First Christian Church, and Victory Christian Center...and that's just the tip of the iceberg! We especially love to learn more about the nation of Israel! We also enjoy sharing the Word with kids of all ages -- especially if it means we can make lots of noise in praising God, lots of messes in exploring His world, and have lots of laughs because of the overcomers' joy He has placed within us. :) | | Interests Snowflake the Albino Gorilla makes me smile!
So do prayer warriors, encouragers, Word Nerds, great cooks who share their creations with "Burnt Offering Specialists" such as myself, artists, poets, musicians, creek-waders, critter-catchers and bibliophiles.... | MoviesMovies are kinda tough to choose. The oldies are usually pretty clean -- but I prefer to watch the newer ones on TV where they are edited a bit. We usually watch educational movies but when I'm ironing clothes, I go for the mushy ones, funny ones, or the ones that make me whoop and hollar for the hero. | MusicChristian...
really enjoying KJ-52 right now
and whoever sings that song, "Crazy Beautiful"
Phil Keaggy's "Portrait of a Christian"
Larnelle Harris' "I Miss My Time With You" (pass the Kleenex)
Raphael Green's "Maranatha" (former member of Souls Afire, ORU)
"Indescribable"
"Voice of Truth" (that's my song for Jordan & Jasmine!!!)
"No More Pretending"
Keith Green's "So You Wanna Go Back To Egypt"
"Shut De Door" (that guy is a HOOT!)
"Big Big House"
and I'll keep adding to the list as the songs come to mind...
I also like Classical, Jazz, Blues, clean Rap (not an oxymoron!), Big Band, you name it ...
almost anything that doesn't have a "twangy" sound or is depressing or gross. (Leave it to my imagination, people!) | BooksOf course the Bible ... and especially Isaiah -- he totally knows what I need to hear and when I need to hear it. We've fought lots of battles together and always come out winning!

| | Television I miss MacGyver, Pepper Ann (Saturday morning cartoons - LOVE her mother's voice!), and Louis Rukeyser (such a smarty britches!)
I like "As Time Goes By" on PBS. (Do Jean and Lionel remind you of anyone?)
I would probably watch Ty Pennington on about anything because he reminds me so much of Izzy!
I usually only watch stuff related to what we're studying in school..... |
