Let go your ego, Its not about you!

3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Many times we read this scripture and over look the awful truth it holds, in-fact most preachers and Soul-winners use this scripture to lead people to Christ, "which is not a bad thing" but when it comes to the real truth of this scripture ,we need to be mindful.
We read of a person knocking at the door of a Church. At first glance if we're not careful we can easily miss the fact that it is the head of the church doing the knocking!
You may be saying "shouldn't he have a key?"
Yes, but unfortunately like the church here and many "physical churches" across this world, we have substituted our Ego, and self aggrandizement, that takes over what rightly belongs to him!
In many churches today, Christians and leaders have decided that it's more about them and less about others!
Man is selfish by nature, and are pron to selfish deeds,Thus they have changed their locks, leaving him key-less!
We can attribute this Apostate mind-set to, merely a loss of the First Love!
I think If the Church is to be effective in this day and age, we are going to have to repent and go back to giving Him , True Glory, Honor , and Praise!
This can not be the kind of honor and Praise that the pharisees had!
It must be pure Love for Him and the Work He has done!
"Oh That the Church Would Go Back to Its First Love"

| This certainly is a good blog. You are so right, it's easy to let ego get involved. Also, you are right that humans are prone to "change the locks" and forget HE is the MASTER KEY! Good blog. |

| Excellent blog! We tend to forget who is in charge! Jesus! I was talking to my mother, a saint of a woman, and i had to reminder her that she is not in charge of saving the world, when discussing a family situation. and she thanked me for giving her the same advice that she gave us as children! It's amazing how God gives us the words to say with love. We must let go our ego! BTW, i loistened to the show and was blessed by it. Keep up the good work and may God ever bless you and your family!

| Well, I intend for Him to have a key to my heart so He can come in and stay forever. My heart home is his dwellingplace.
Dear folks here at 101...will you help me give an invitation to many people to become aware of the door in their souls where Jesus stands knocking?
There is a specific request I have at the bottom of this blog.
Perhaps some even can HEAR him knocking but are powerless to open because Satan has them tied up with strings of misunderstandings. We can untie these strings for them...with the gospel.
Others are SLEEPING and unaware that Jesus has been ignored each time he comes to sup with them. We need to wake them up!
