About Me

2:8 for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, `it is' the gift of God; 2:9 not of works, that no man should glory.

My testimony of God's grace:

While the Lord continues to give me His grace I am living in His love and hopefully more for His glory and His alone every day.

By God's grace! I am husband to Dona since 1977, parent to daughters Erin and Anna and food dispensor/kitty litter scooper for our cats, Max the black manx and PJ the Holstein cow imitator.

By God's grace! I was born in Arkansas, lived in Indiana, then Massachusetts, next Connecticut, then Kansas and finally in Missouri -first in K.C. then in Independence. "Military family, always moving," you ask? Nope, just the son of media-savvy parents, radio and newspaper. In the late 60's, one of the Christian radio stations in town was placed on the air by my Dad, by God's grace! And my Mom helped --I'm proud of both!

By God's grace! I was saved at the ripe old age of four, but went into the usual examination of self and values in my teenage years. My Savior and Lord Jesus became real to me, and as I trusted Him more I dedicated my life to service to Him. By God's grace, He allowed me to travel with "The Simple Truth," a folk/rock/country band based in KC. This was back in the true "Jesus Freak" day of Andrae Crouch, Love Song, Earthen Vessel, the Archers, Randy Stonehill and Larry Norman. It was a privilege playing in the shadow of God's pioneers of CCM at various gigs and festivals. I left the band eventually and graduated from Calvary Bible College where by God's grace! I met my sweetheart Dona.

By God's grace! I continue to play and sing in Christ's service. I help with the DEEP praise band in our Youth Group, and play in the Worship Band in church. As an elder, I am reminded constantly that God requires us to be servants in his employ!

By God's grace, I have some skill in art, web development and video editing that I use to keep me busy. Before that I worked in the printing business for 19 and change years. As for hobbies, I do a little magic, a little clowning and now a lot of Cowboy Action Shooting with SASS.

Now- well, because of God's grace, my future is His!

"....take the music someplace else, take it past where you found it...."

I am here to help as I can, by God's Grace....

Television
Heroes! also LOST although that show has its bad spots - we all need to tell the TV producers It's the story line we like, not the rated-M-for-mature stuff. I do watch some reality shows -if I have to be sociable. No, honey I really like 'em...really...erm. STNG, ST-TOS, STVoy, DS9 and STEnt have all been running on broadcast TV first, then my VCR and now on DVD. I still haven't seen 'em all yet (thankfully). I also like Monk, The 4400, and Robin Hood on BBC America. I'm beginning to hate TV for its insistence on "cutting edge" programming which forces the relatively clean SciFi (and other types of shows) to try to compete with sex and graphic violence. More often than not, I've been forced to turn stuff off lately that offends! A great TV movie (Hallmark Channel) was Avenging Angel with Kevin Sarbo. His character was kind of an influence for my Cowboy alter-ego. Mythbusters, "Dog Fights" (about air duels, not arf-ers), Future Weapons and anything on Technology round out my viewing, when I can watch that is. Most of the time I'm asleep in my chair. LOL
