What is my mission?
ACTS 20:24 However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, If only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me - the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace.
Though this burden that I carry may seem too heavy for me to carry, I have a friend to carry it with me.
I wake up and know not where I will sleep at night, but the mission is more important than the missionary.
As a follower of Jesus Christ, I have to obey the Great Commission given to me by my savior.
- Mathew 28:16-20
28:16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 28:17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.
What is my vision? BUILDING A LEGACY
Nehemiah 2:17-18 Then I said to them, "You see the trouble we are in: Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates have been burned with fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, and we will no longer be in disgrace." I also told them about the gracious hand of my God upon me and what the king had said to me.
The church is in desparate need of local leaders. Too many of God's children are turning to the world for fulfillment of the promise. I am coming to an understanding that Christianity is a lifestyle. We Christians, follow the example of Jesus Christ using our time and resources to tell everyone of the goodness of the Lord. In every dance; in every song; in every drawing; in everything there is proof of our committment to our master. Through the work of the master's servant his kingdom will increase. This legacy is my lifework for my master, Jesus Christ.
Through this ministry, I will help many to see their calling.
Luke 5:27,28
5:27 And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me. 5:28 And he left all, rose up, and followed him.
This ministry will go as far as the ends of the earth.
Acts 1:8
1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
What is my purpose?
Proverbs 16:2 All a man's ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the Lord.
- Is my plan in harmony with God's truth?
- Will this work under real-life conditions?
- Is my attitude pleasing to God?
Proverbs 16:1-3
16:1 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, [is] from the LORD. 16:2 All the ways of a man [are] clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits. 16:3 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
I understand that is in my human nature to rationalize my actions. I fully understand that the law of the Lord has already titled me guilty. All of my intentions are wicked without the aid of the holy spirit. Having been baptised in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, born again, and washed in the blood of the Lamb, I have set standards for judging right and wrong.
My purpose is:
- to Know God
- be Known by God
- make God Known
