What better way to "Be" the Church than to share practical resources and needs with each other. From your church's profile page, just go to ‘Sharing’ at the top of your church page to post something you need or something you can give.
Note: If your moderator turned on his approval-required settings for sharing, your post will not show up until it is approved by a moderator.
Any church member can apply to be a moderator. But an upgraded church can decide that no one else should apply in the future. This saves you from that awkward rejection for that certain someone in your church who wants to be a moderator but is barely old enough to be on the internet :)
To close off the moderator applications to your church, go to the advanced settings and select No to the option below:
Upgraded churches can enhance their subgroups to be like “mini-churches.” While regular groups just have a bulletin board, upgraded churches can give each group their own blog, photo gallery, event calendar, and media library.
To pick and choose the features for your subgroups, go to the advanced settings and select what you want for each subgroup:
Don’t like seeing ads on your church pages? Upgraded churches don’t get them. The church profile, church blog, church photo gallery, and any other church page will be free from advertisements.
The ‘Church Friends’ feature is a way for churches to network and show their alliance. Sister churches and church plants, for example, may want to use this feature. Church Friends have their sharing boards linked – meaning members from one church can post needs and offerings to the sharing board of another church.
Basic churches can add up to 3 church friends. Extended churches can connect with up to 10, and premium churches can network with up to 20 other churches.
Upgraded churches can receive online donations through their church profile. Churches can set up a free credit card gateway from sites like Paypal. And then link their Donate button to their payment processing account.
The Donate button can also just display the physical mailing address for the church for folks who want to tithe the old-fashioned way. To setup the Donate button, click on the advanced settings and select how the Donate button should be linked:
Upgraded churches can create more subgroups within their church. Basic churches are limited to 5, extended churches get 10, and premium churches get 20.
Premium churches can also set their own text for the terms and conditions that their members must agree to in order to join their church’s page. Basic and extended churches get our default (boring) terms and conditions.
