"My Feet Are Off The Ground" From Tyler Perry: writer and actor
This morning I awoke and was so frustrated about all of the stuff that I'm dealing with in trying to get this studio open. I was about to open my mouth and start complaining when I remembered something that happened to me about a year ago.
I was walking to my car when this wo ma n who appeared to be homeless started walking towards me. I'm ashamed to say this but I thought, "I don't feel like being hustled today." Then I got quickly convicted. I felt guilty so I started digging in my pocket for some money. As she got closer I noticed that she had the kindest eyes that I had ever seen. As I was reaching into my pocket she started to speak. I thought, "Here goes the sales p itch". She said "Excuse me sir, I need some shoes. Can you help me?" My eyes filled with water because I remember being out on the streets and having only one pair of run over shoes. I was taken aback for a second.
I took her inside the studio and had my wardrobe people find shoes in her size. As she put the shoes on she started crying, praising God and thanking Jesus, and saying, "My feet are off the ground! My feet are off the ground!" Several of the wardrobe people started crying. I was crying. But I never forgot those words. "My feet are off the ground!" I thought, "Wow! All she wanted was some shoes." She quickly disappeared and never asked me for a dime. I realized that I still had the money in my hand so I went out looking for her. She was gone just that quick so I looked all around the neighborhood for her. I found her standing on a corner looking down at her shoes, still crying. I was so touched. I asked her how she had gotten homeless. She told me that she had AIDS and that she was waiting to get into a shelter. She said that her family had turned their backs on her and that she had no place to go, but she knew that God would ma ke a way for her. I said to myself, "He just did." Her faith and her praise moved me. I took her to a nearby hotel and put her up until she was able to get on her feet. I had someone that worked for me to check on her from time to time and to make sure that she had food and clothes. After about a month or so we lost touch, but I never forgot her.
This past summer I was shooting "Daddy's Little Girls" and this wo ma n walks up to me smiling. I didn't recognize her face, but her eyes were familiar. She had on a really nice dress and her hair was done. It was her! She told me that the little help that I had given her had changed her life. She was in a house now and doing very well.
I said all of that to say this. After I met this woman, every time I think about complaining and mumbling I remember, "M y feet are off the ground!"
I wanted to share this with you just to let you know that when I say that I am thankful for you, I mean it. And when I say that you are a blessing to me, I mean it. We take so much for granted sometimes that I just wanted all of you to know that I am grateful to God for you everyday. Thank you for being in my life.

The Stranger
A few years after I was born, my Dad met a stranger who was new to our small Texas town. From the beginning, Dad was fascinated with this enchanting newcomer and soon invited him to live with our family. The stranger was quickly accepted and was around from then on.
As I grew up, I never questioned his place in my family. In my young mind, he had a special niche. My parents were complementary instructors: Mom taught me good from evil, and Dad taught me to obey. But the stranger...he was our storyteller. He would keep us spellbound for hours on end with adventures, mysteries and come dies.
If I wanted to know anything about politics, history or science, he always knew the answers about the past, understood the present and even seemed able to predict the future! He took my family to the first major league ball game. He made me laugh, and he made me cry. The stranger never stopped talking, but Dad didn't seem to mind.
Sometimes, Mom would get up quietly while the rest of us were shushing each other to listen to what he had to say, and she would go to the kitchen for peace and quiet. (I wonder now if she ever prayed for the stranger to leave.)
Dad ruled our household with certain moral convictions, but the stranger never felt obligated to honor them. Profanity, for example, was not allowed in our home... Not from us, our friends or any visitors. Our longtime visitor, however, got away with four-letter words that burned my ears and made my dad squirm and my mother blush.
My Dad didn't permit the liberal u se of alcohol. But the stranger encouraged us to try it on a regular basis. He made cigarettes look cool, cigars manly and pipes distinguished. He talked freely (much too freely!) about sex. His comments were sometimes blatant, sometimes suggestive, and generally embarrassing.
I now know that my early concepts about relationships were influenced strongly by the stranger. Time after time, he opposed the values of my parents, yet he was seldom rebuked... And NEVER asked to leave.
More than fifty years have passed since the stranger moved in with our family. He has blended right in and is not nearly as fascinating as he was at first. Still, if you could walk into my parents' den today, you would still find him sitting over in his corner, waiting for someone to listen to him talk and watch him draw his pictures. His name?....
We just call him, "TV."
* *Note: This should be required reading for every household in America!**
He has a wife now....We call her "Computer"

saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, Luke 11:10For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Because we would dared to ask God to bless us, not for ourselves alone, but to fulfill the will of the being helpers to the kingdom of the Lord. To propel the movement of Christ to spread the gospel and the Lord see fit, to help those that are in need. Oh Lord please bless me, how many times have we had said this in prayer secretly and in open. Asking the Lord if you would just bless me I could help those who are poor, needy, sick, homeless and drug bound. OH Lord what ever you want me to do but please if you could just bless me so I could do so. amen
There is nothing wrong for wanting to be bless. The bible always talk about the rewards of being a blessing to others. I learned while being homeless that I might of been without a house, but the gifts the Lord gave me became stronger. I had to humble myself and live with another family and during that time I first prayed to the Lord to move me from the situation. Not seeing what was really happening. Because, I was doing more ministry in this house more than ever I was praying more, my gift of prophecy became stronger, I found out I had a deliverance ministry. Also because I believe I was escaping reality I learned of him more and more. Its when the Lord move us out of our place of comfort that we became closer to God. I just thought because I was trying to get away from the house, I was going to church more often and I was studying the scriptures more trying to find answers. It wasn't until I totally surrendered and started to bless the home that I was living in. The family was mopre in need than I was the woman of the house kept saying make this place your home. I kept saying this is not my home I am passing through. After being in the home for over 3 years I had finally said ok I will make this place my home. I withdrew the final monies that I was holding to move into an apartment and filled both the refridgerators in the house and made plans to buy new furniture, that the Lord released what I truly needed, my Own home. Lord Thank you for blessing me. amen.
Genesis 26:3-4 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father; And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; We knew that we was not just meant to to serve in our country alone. God has always known we needed to enlarge our coast and borders to be torn down to really see the liberty of the Lord. Now is the time when we must do more than talk. God is moving swiftly and unless you are ready to be caught up, we must be in line and ready to move at his will.God has truly blessed us, even in the controversy we are still blessed and yet he has now opened up our boarders. Its no accident the people you are fellow shipping with now have the same like mind as you. God is exposing you to accomplish his true goals that no one shall perish and go to hell, but to join in the heaven and the earth. amen
Father thank you for open our hearts and mind to recieve what you are ready to give these thy your people amen. We are looking to you to expand our boarders in ministry, family, maturity, spirituality, and financially. God you are the author and finisher of our faith amen.

And Jabez called on the God of Israel, 2 Samuel 22:7In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears. In this season we are talking to God more because of the new challenges that has arrived with our new positions. We are no longer just going to church saints and nothing more, now we are reaching out to the lord for his guidance and what our next moves are, we are talking to him about those who surrounds us and for those he has removed from us.
The more we call on the Lord the closer we come to his presence. he said in his word draw nigh unto me as I draw nigh unto you. I called upon the Lord and he did hear our cry, I called and the Lord and he answered with you are more than a conquerer, I called the Lord and he supplied my needs according to his riches in glory, I called on the Lord and he said by my stripes you are healed, I called on the Lord and he delivered me from all of my enemies, I called on the Lord and he delivered me from all of my fears. Go ahead and call upon the name of the Lord. Give a mighty shout because we sought his Godly counsel and we will now receive the spiritual answers. Is there a job to hard for God. No. amen Isaiah 41:10 10Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. We are now warriors of prayer and counsel and new mercies all because we have dared to call on the Lord for everything to fulfill our needs and desires and to help us with our enemies, jobs and families and everything that besets itself against the righteousness of the Lord. That is why you have been under attack and your household have no peace, its because of your believe that God Can Move The Mountains. amen. Matthew 6:33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Prayer Father lend and ear to our prayer and we are already believing by faith it is well and its done in the name of Jesus Christ. amen.
