Okay, me... in a (rather large) nutshell:
By day, I am the IT guy at a local middle school, where I formerly taught science for seven years. I'm big fan of the scientific method, and I think that drives my passion for these ever-so-logical machines that we call computers. I'm a computer geek at heart, and I love my job.
But the fun doesn't stop there. I am my church's "Worship Arts Coordinator" (That's WAC for short.) That basically means that I am the behind-the-scenes M.C. of our Sunday morning services. Much like a wedding coordinator orchestrates a wedding, the WAC makes sure that Sundays at our church go smoothly. I love being a part of a growing church that loves Jesus. I love my church. And I love the guys in the band! You all ROCK! You, too, all the peeps in the audio-visual squad! ;)
I have been married for 8 years to my best friend (Carrie). I have a brand-new (1-year-old) daughter (Lily), who is currently in her first phase of SUMO training. This pretty much entails packing on weight, wearing a diaper, and honing internal balance. My 4-year-old daughter (Cielee), is in her second phase of NINJA school. Everything she does from this point forward is top-secret. Sorry. I'd love to share... but, you know the consequences! Thank you, God--for this wonderful life!
I'm about 100 pounds too heavy to be emo. I am an introvert. My favorite gum is EXTRA Winterfresh. I think it's ridiculous to buy bottled water, but I drink it anyway. When I am faced with adversity, I channel MacGyver's spirit to overcome obstacles. I still get pimples. I programmed my TV to automatically turn itself on to the Disney Channel at 5:30 am in order to curb my daughter's desire to wake up her mommy and daddy before sunrise. I disdain house-painting. I am buoyant.
| InterestsHanging (figuratively) with my family, making music, playing video games (Age of Empires II, and my current fix--Call of Duty 4 on XBOX 360), getting my nerd on, eating bacon like it's candy!
Side note: I just recently finished my cosmetic and electronics conversion of a Fender Squier Affinity Tele into a Fender American Deluxe Ash Tele. I replaced the pickups and neck plate, refinished the headstock, and laquered the neck.
Bandmates, if you want the songs, they're at www.hollon.biz/band. | | Movies I was "Odd-Job" in James Bond: Goldfinger.
Besides that, I have only had minor roles in Kung-Fu Movies (such as "The Kid with the Golden Arms", "Drunken Monkey", and most recently, "Kung Fu Hustle").
| MusicI like music that appeals to my senses and stirs my soul. Music can inspire change in someone's life. My senses steer me towards rock music, as well as other genres.
Right now, I've been jamming to GRITS. Cielee seems to get into them quite nicely. I guess she's gonna be rebelious and avoid her Father's rock-n-roll music.
| | Books Ummmm. . . Books? I'm more of a magazine, or a look it up online kinda guy.
I am still working on reading my Bible daily. How can I be so in love with someone, but desire to spend so little time with that person? | | Television Mmmmm. . . Television! ;)
Ah, the heart-warming glow of millions of points of light. They call my name. They sing to me.
TV's cool, because it allows me to play video games on it, and because it occasionaly has good news on it... and because it can baby-sit my girls for days at a time! ;)
I dig HGTV, the 101 on DirecTV (when it's playing concerts), Current, and NBC's Heroes (Despite a rather lame season 2.). |
