About Me
Originally from Greensboro, North Carolina, I moved to Richmond, Virginia in 2004 to get my Masters of Divinity from Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond. Now, somewhere in my fourth year of studies, I've made myself a great home in VA, I have the most fascinating jobs in the world, and I recently overcame my life-long fear of clowns with whiffle-bats...I'd rather leave that alone & not discuss it any further right now (Side Note: I am no longer permitted to be within five hundred feet of a Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey event).

Interests
Movies, Music, Baseball, Duke Basketball, Wii, X-Box, going to Busch Gardens. I'm sorry people...this is all we've got to work with at BTSR so blame them!!! I used to like to smoke, but I quit. However, I remember a speech my favorite coach used to tell me about not being a quitter, so I might pick it up again. Plus, it looks cool to have in one hand with my beer in the other.
Movies
450+ DVDs; 250+ VHS (and the collection keeps growing and growing)...As you can tell, I'm not really a movie person.
Music
"If I should ever die, God forbid, let this be my epitaph: The only proof he needed for the existence of God was music." -Kurt Vonnegut I'll listen to anything at least once. I don't have a favorite genre of music. Sometimes I'm really in the mood for blues or jazz while at other times I feel like listening to hard rock (which, if pressed, I'd say is my music of choice). My MP3 player is currently loaded with Johnny Cash, Taj Mahal, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Tool, The Doors, Coldplay, A Perfect Circle, Flyleaf, Snow Patrol, Joe Purdy, Something Corporate, Sufjan Stevens, Death Cab for Cutie, Fall Out Boy, The Flaming Lips, Taking Back Sunday, Dashboard Confessional, Modest Mouse, Nirvana, Death Cab for Cutie, My Chemical Romance, and a ton of other stuff!
Books
Wow!!! It's kind of funny how I got all the way through undergrad and my first two and a half years of grad work without knowing how to read. I just fell into the cracks of the system I guess. But now I can read and thank the Lord because "Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows" was freakin' awesome. I laughed, I cried, I cried some more, I laughed again (only briefly) before another round of tears... I love Snape and always believed in him!!!!
Television
I never really paid attention to my mom when she used to tell me that I would go blind if I sat too close to the TV, esp. with as much TV as I watched. Now, I wish I could go back in time and listen to her so that I could see some of my favorite TV shows like the most addictive show on TV, "Lost" (I'm gonna find the cast/producers and stalk them until I find out what in the hell is going on), as well as "Smallville" (I have shaved my head as well, Mr. Michael Rosenbaum), "Heroes" (I have a samurai sword), "The Office" (I'd work for Michael Scott), "Prison Break" (I keep forgetting to carry my shank whenever I go into gen-pop), "Family Guy" (there really isn't ever a bad episode), "The X-Files" ("The Truth is Out There"), and "The Sopranos" (why do all these mob peoples have to be so violent and have such potty mouths? I mean, @%*$!).
