About Me

My name is Jim Deuel. I am an Officer in the Salvation Army. My present appointment is the Divisional Financial Secretary for the Kentucky-Tennessee Division. I have been an Officer in the Salvation Army for twenty-eight years. God has blessed me with wonderful parents, a magnificent wife, three great children and five beautiful grandchildren. My God is an awesome God.

My favorite sports is fishing. If there is a fish in the water, I can catch it. God not only allows me to be a fisher of fish but a fisher of men as well. My passion is to share the Word of God with all those I meet.

My favorite scripture passage is Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths." NKJV

I am so glad you came through surgery okay. I know what it is to have to stay in bed for a long period of time. Dust I never noticed before appeared under my dresser and it drove me mad. I'm not a good housekeeper but because I couldn't do anything about it was what kept me going until I could get the broom and dustpan. I did take time to realize how good God was to me then and how good He has always been.

I am not so glad that you will be moving to KT. My memories are always good when I think of you and Jean. I do wish the best for you and KT is getting just that. If your boss gives you a bad time, let me know and even though I am short, I still can kick.

My love to Jean. I will be thinking about both of you when we go back to Gatlingburg. Wish you could just pop in. I'm sure a bed could be found somewhere. Our friendship goes back many years and how much I appreciate someone who remembers my beloved Billy. Cherish each other, and I know you do. I cherish my friendship with both of you. Hug each other for me and pretend I'm standing between you to hug you back.
