JIMMY

In August 2000 an evangelist named Johnny Jernigan preached a revival at our church. He called me out and spoke into my life. He said that God was going to start using me with ideas and designs on how to harvest souls in a whole new way, and that it was going to bring in millions of dollars for the kingdom of God. We were very excited because we know that God is true to his word. After months of praying and trusting God, He gave me the design of the shoe and what it was suppose to be named, (J.C. Cares Gear). He also gave me the colors and what each symbol on the shoe represented.

After giving me the design, I didn't know where to go with it. We were thinking Nike, Reebok, etc., but God had something very different in mind. After much prayer we were watching TBN late on a Saturday night, and a show called Virtual Memory came on. This is a bible trivia game show that has alot of sponsors.

One of the sponsors was a company called Heavenly Gear Apparel. God so impressed upon me that we were to get in touch with this company about the shoe design. We decided to write the President of the company a letter. We prayed over the letter and put our trust in the Lord. The following  Saturday we received a message on our voice mail from the President of the company John Levario.
 

After reading our letter he was so inspired that he just had to call us. I talked with him on the phone for 3 hours about different things, finally he told me to draw my design out on a piece of paper and mail it to him. After I did this he sent me an exact computer drawing of what the Lord had given to me.
 

There were some major needs that God took care of for us during this time of getting everything together. The first financial need was for $325.00 for copyrighting the shoe. God impressed upon someone's heart to pay for this. The second need was for $400.00 to pull a skilled shoemaker off of the assembly line in China to hand stitch the shoe samples for us to approve. God put into our hands $1000.00, above and beyond what was needed to have the samples made. The next need was for us to find some investors to invest the money, $8,000.00 for adult sizes, for the first order of shoes which was 1100 pair.

I was just about to go to the bank and borrow the money myself, but God stopped me and told me not to, because He had everything we needed,even the investors.

On a Sunday morning in June 2003 the Lord told us to get up and give our testimony to our church. We explained everything in detail and when we were through, before leaving church that very same day we had a total of $16,000.00.  We were able to double the order and do not only adult sizes, but kid sizes too.

Now that we have gotten our product out on the market, all we are waiting on now is for God to move,and fulfill the vision that he started . God is so amazing and true to His Word. He can do anything ,however we must understand that it will happen in His perfect timing. We love Him and thank Him for trusting us with His J.C. Cares Gear Ministry.
