We went to a Good Friday service this year where both my husband and I were to speak on one of the 7 statements Christ made from the cross. It was a very good service. But, during the service I began to ask myself -- what were the disciples doing on the 3 days Christ was in the tomb?
Christ told his disciples in John 2 "...destroy this temple, and I will raise it up again in three days." So, what the disciples SHOULD have been doing, was waiting expectantly and praising God for the fulfillment of his word. However, we see that after 3 days they came looking for the body of Christ. Had they learned nothing after walking with him 3 years?
They should have gone to the tomb EXPECTING it to be empty!
And what about us? What are we doing while waiting on God to move? When we give our situation over to God, we should immediately begin giving Him the praise because the battle is already won, the victory is ours! EXPECT that it's a "done deal!"
My bible says that the promises of God are yes and amen AND since He is not a man that he should lie -- we KNOW that "ALL things work together for the good of them that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. We KNOW that He will supply all of our needs according to his riches and glory... we KNOW that weeping may in endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Why? Because God said so.
God said it. I believe it. That settles it!

Thank you again to all who prayed for my daughter and her then, unborn child. I am happy and thrilled to announce the birth of my first grand daughter, Jayla Ramaya Robinson. She was born at 4:19 p.m. on March 14, 2008. She was 6 lbs and 8 oz. and perfect in everyway! God is good!! Her middle name means "He whom God heals." This little baby was not supposed to have survived the first 3 months of pregnancy -- yet here she is!! Tell me what my God cannot do! Hallelujah! I hope to have her picture up soon.

The effective, fervant prayers of the righteous availeth much!!
Thank you to everyone who has been praying with me. God blessed me to be able to fly out to be with my daughter. I was able to stay with her for 11 days. When she went to her doctors visit Friday, the doctor could not believe just how much better she was doing. Her blood pressure was back to normal with no signs of premature delivery. Her doctor actually was contemplating releasing my daughter to be able to return to work for the last few weeks of her pregnancy!!!! God is truly an awesome God!!!
Thank you again for your prayers!

| | I am happy and excited about 2008. With 2007 behind us (7=the number of completion), I am ready for the new year! (8=the number of new beginnings). How many of us are ready for a fresh, new start!! I am not one to make resolutions, but this year I have determined to take some advice from the Bible and "lay aside every weight." We are always so busy with our daily lives that we don't make time for God, who, in His infinate mercy allowed us the lives that we live! Determine with me to make time for intimate time with our Heavenly Father. Decide that whatever is going on in your life, is not more important than telling God daily that you love him and do not take His blessings for granted. Begin to count your blessings during this time. I guarantee that any issue you are having will begin to seem small when compared to what God has already done for you. Remember, our Heavenly Father knows what we have need of before we even ask... so, let's spend more time in worship, seeking Gods face and less time asking and seeking God's hands. Get rid of anything that occupies your mind more than the love of Christ! Give it to him and leave it there. This free's you up to worship Him all the more!! God Bless you all!! Jeri |
