| Everytime I come to this spot I click off and go somewhere else, it's not my favorite topic "Me". Not that I don't have a gift to gab, in the right setting. I am the eldest of four girls (notice I didn't use the word oldest!). I grew up in Michigan, my parents were Catholic and left the church when Vatican II went through, and when you tell a child "you don't have to go to Catechism anymore", guess what, they don't! So needless to say when it comes to Bible instructions I should be getting up and going out with the kids! My childhood for the most part was great, my dad was a teacher (special education) so he had summers off and we would pack up the camper and travel. I was able to see a lot of our country most kids don't get to see, and you get real close to your sisters living in such close quarters! Even our house growing up was small 960 sq ft for the 6 of us! My dad finally cracked up the basement floor and put a toilet and shower down there so he could get ready for work, with 4 girls and 1 bathroom he had no chance! I went to Mercy College of Detroit got my BSN. The four years I was there I was very involved in campus ministry, went on retreats, raised monies for the poor selling pizza in the dorm, food baskets, you name it, always collecting! My mother thought I was going to become a nun when I went to Dare the Dream weekend, she said I was out of touch with reality, maybe I was. Went to mass twice a week, and made my First Holy Communion in a barn on a retreat, Confirmation shortly after. While I was in college I was Born Again by a fellow nursing student, Theresa. (Funny that was my confirmation name). After Graduation things changed, friends all moved away, I got busy in my profession and God got put on the back burner. Sure I'd pray (not the right way, as my mother is now in a bible study class is telling me there is a right way to pray, I have a lot to learn) usually in times of trouble, stress, once in a while thanking Him for a nice day, etc. Once in a great while would catch going to church with my little sister and her family.(I really liked her church but it was so far away and working 12 hour shifts made it difficult). Nine years ago I moved to Las Vegas with a man I had been with for eight years, he was much older than I, long story short it ended violently and I thank God I am here today. Computers are wonderful things, even though I am computer stupid, it is how I met my husband Gerry, my first marriage! (at 45 years young!) And it is how my mom found VBF, she asked me to come with her about eight weeks ago and have been coming with ever since. My youngest sister and her husband are very involved in their church and were trying to find me a church similar to theirs out here, I went to one (no name) and left in tears. Wrong fit, wrong place, wrong time. I guess I have a lot of growing to do, but it feels good to be in a place I feel comfortable when I come and call home. Looking foreward to getting to know you! | | Music | | Books |

I am not the organizer for the Womans thing. I just posted it for the Women on My Church to be reminded, they call the person that posts it the organizer but I totally am not. I am not that high on the food chain lol But yeah we had this trip planned a long time before they said anything about the womens night so I wont be going. We are going to leave early in the morning to make the first service and stay till after the afternoon feeding at the mission or the park however the agenda will be. Thats my sister Clara's department.

Thanks for your tips. My husband came home and took a look at the chair and he couldn't see the stains anymore. I guess I did a better job cleaning it than I thought. I will check out her website though. :-)
