I joined Enon in August of 1992 when I moved to Salisbury for a teaching position, and I love the Enon people! I enjoy attending Sunday School and Worship, I appreciate Enon's music ministry, and I am really enjoying my prayer triplet and the Sunday evening discipleship class on Church History.
In the past 15 years I have been involved at Enon in a variety of ministries. 3 Special Highlights: I led a thriving singles ministry 1997-2002, in 2000 I organized and led a group from Enon on a construction mission trip to Honduras, and I served as a deacon 2004-2007. I teach college Spanish and am head of the Foreign Language Dept. I have a Masters of Education in Spanish from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (1997) and a Masters of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (1991). Learning is one of my ongoing passions.
I have travelled extensively, including trips to Mexico, Honduras, Argentina, Ecuador, and The Gambia, West Africa. Also in recent years I have travelled to Washington DC, FL, VA, NY, VT, CA, PA, CT,and MA. Some of my travels are mission trips, and others are just to spend time with friends.
I am a member/supporter of the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery, Alabama, where my name is on the Wall of Tolerance at the Civil Rights Memorial, and I am a founding sponsor of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial slated for completion in 2008 in Washington DC. I am an "elite feet" participant in the annual MS Walk to raise funds for Multiple Sclerosis research and programs. Thanks to friends and family, I raised $1,030 in 2005, $1,145 in 2006, $1,065 in 2007, and $3,100 in 2008, for a 4-walk total of $6,340.
I attended church regularly from the time I was born, was baptized at the age of 8, and do not remember a time when I didn't have a relationship with God. Prior to Enon, I spent some summers working in church planting and/or Hispanic ministry. I have always been Southern Baptist, although I grieve the direction the SBC has taken in recent years. I am hopeful that the next generation of leaders will bring the denomination back to its respect for the autonomy of the local church, the priesthood of the believer, and the separation of church and state, and that their decisions will more closely reflect the life and teachings of Jesus.

I created this quiz. That's why I made 100! It's a little silly and meant for fun, not nearly as "scholarly" as it claims! Can you pass it?
You know the Bible 100%! Wow! You are awesome! You are a true Biblical scholar, not just a hearer but a personal reader! The books, the characters, the events, the verses - you know it all! You are fantastic!

Hey Kathy, Well, I guess it all depends on which song starts playing when you come to my page. I can imagine a couple of songs might not leave you feeling peaceful. Thanks for checking my page. Peace Glenn
