I joined Enon in August of 1992 when I moved to Salisbury for a teaching position, and I love the Enon people! I enjoy teaching Sunday School and participating in Worship. I appreciate Enon's music ministry and am enjoying the Sunday evening discipleship class on Church History.
In the past 17 years I have been involved at Enon in a variety of ministries. 3 Special Highlights: I led a thriving singles ministry 1997-2002, in 2000 I organized and led a group from Enon on a construction mission trip to Honduras, and I served as a deacon 2004-2007. I teach college Spanish and am head of the Foreign Language Dept. I have a Masters of Education in Spanish from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (1997) and a Masters of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (1991). Learning is one of my ongoing passions.
I have travelled extensively, including trips to Mexico, Honduras, Argentina, Ecuador, and The Gambia, West Africa. Also in recent years I have travelled to Washington DC, FL, VA, NY, VT, CA, PA, CT,and MA. Some of my travels are mission trips, and others are just to spend time with friends.
I am a member/supporter of the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery, Alabama, where my name is on the Wall of Tolerance at the Civil Rights Memorial, and I am a founding sponsor of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial in Washington DC. I am an "elite feet" participant in the annual MS Walk to raise funds for Multiple Sclerosis research and programs. Thanks to friends and family, I raised $1,030 in 2005, $1,145 in 2006, $1,065 in 2007, $3,100 in 2008, and $1,445 in 2009, for a 5-walk total of $7,785.
I attended church regularly from the time I was born, was baptized at the age of 8, and do not remember a time when I didn't have a relationship with God. Prior to Enon, I spent some summers working in church planting and/or Hispanic ministry. I have always been Southern Baptist, although I grieve the direction the SBC has taken in recent years. I am hopeful that the next generation of leaders will bring the denomination back to its respect for the autonomy of the local church, the priesthood of the believer, and the separation of church and state, and that their decisions will more closely reflect the life and teachings of Jesus.

There is a side of love that must be shown. The side that leaves with us a silent moan.
We should not hide this love so deep. The side I mean that makes us weep.
For what is love so sweet and nice. That we could give without sacrifice.
Of course the love that's from the heart is meant for joy right from the start.
But woven deep within it's passion a blood was poured into it's fashion.
This side of love we give is not for loss It's rooted in and from the cross.
I love you.

My friend,
I hope that this finds you well and safe for your a very special friend to so many and that includes me. I pray that whatever your trails maybe that you will find a way through them, if there is darkness, I pray that there will be light. I find that the best friend that you can have is a teddybear. Whenever I have a gloomy day, I find that cuddling with my teddybear makes that gloomy day even better."Teddy bears don't need hearts as they are already stuffed with love." -Unknown Your friendship has touched my heart in a special way and I will always be grateful for it. Hope that you have a teddybear that you can cuddle with for just having a teddybear to snuggle with can make any day a bit brighter. I hope that you will have warmth, peace and harmony in your life for a long, long time to come.
May flowers always line your path and sunshine light your day.
May songbirds serenade you every step along the way.
May a rainbow run beside you in a sky that's always blue.
And may happiness fill your heart each day your whole life through.
~Irish Blessing
I hope that you will have a great day and will have a great Saturday. I had said a prayer for you just a little while ago and always will when I think of you each and every time. You will be in my thoughts, heart and prayers forever. May the Lord bless you with his love, grace and mercy as the weekend comes upon us once again.
God bless you,
Megan

Hope that you will have a great week ahead with an angel to guide your steps and know that your always in my thoughts, heart and prayers.
If you feel lost and on your own and far from home. You never alone, you know., just think of your friends, the ones who care, they all will be waiting there with love to share and your heart will lead you home. Hope that you will always find your way home if you ever feel lost and know that you can always find your way through it if you trust your heart.
