Just saw Evan Almighty and LOVED it! Other favorites: Stranger Than Fiction, The Princess Bride, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Monsters, Inc. So many movies, so little time! :o)
There are three categories of movies that I love to watch:
1. The Well-Made Comedy: the kind that my husband and I are quoting months (sometimes years) after we've seen it - for the 10th time.
2. The Inspirational Film: the kind that makes me feel VERY happy and grateful for all that I have, and moves me to get off of the couch and make a difference. Sometimes the well-made comedy and the inspirational film will be the same film.
3. The Twist Ending: Sometimes not the most wholesome of movies, but I absolutely love a good twist - the kind that makes you want to go back and watch the movie over so you can see all of the parts that were actually important, but you didn't pay attention to the first time. These kinds of movies are great, because you can watch them over and over and always find something new. I haven't (and probably won't) put those movie covers above, but some of the better twists I've seen have been in: Fight Club, The Usual Suspects (great movie!), and of course "Sixth Sense".
Okay, "Breakfast Club" doesn't really fit into ANY of those categories, but I like it anyway. I just do - I can't help it.
