Hello,
NextStep Ministries reached 58 people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ this week. Praise GOD!!! Proverbs 14:5 A truthful witness does not deceive, but a false witness pours out lies. One thing that continually boggles my mind is when Christians(Christ-like) tell me "the truth is so refreshing it is so good to hear someone be truthful and honest." Then you question them, and although it seems to be "good for everyone else." They now want to run away, slander you, make up lies about you. All because you spoke to them in TRUTH. You see the truth hurts, and people really don't like it. Hebrews 4 (New International Version)12For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 13Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Clark County's Homeless Project Connect will be held Wednesday, October 8, all day long. NextStep Ministries will be there. This will be our fourth year participating. We are able to pray with over 100 people and last time we handed out 116 Bibles. At this time, we are in great need of these Bibles and they can be mailed to our P.O. Box. On Thursdays, we no longer serve food; this is a Bible study only, we are going very slowly through the book of Romans. We are spending about 1-1/2 hours at the park on this day talking about what we are reading and how it affects our lives. This has become a true blessing to me, lives are changing. Praise God! Our next event is "The Celebration" our third annual Christmas celebration. Our financial goal for this event $5500, the date for this event is Saturday, December 20, 2008. Hello, NextStep Ministries reached 63 people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ this week. Praise GOD!!!
Dictionary.com Unabridged ad·dic·tion: the state of being enslaved to a habit or practice or to something that is psychologically or physically habit-forming, as narcotics, to such an extent that its cessation causes severe trauma. John 15 (New International Version) 1"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful. 3You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I have been told many times I am now addicted to Jesus Christ! I am very thankful every time someone tells me that. I am also thankful that never, not even one time, did I hear "you are addicted to a social club, or church building". It is always the same "you are now addicted to Jesus Christ." So where is your addiction in the vine to concrete and stucco?

Hello, NextStep Ministries reached 58 people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ this week. Praise GOD!!!
Mark 10 (Amplified Bible)
45For even the Son of Man came not to have service rendered to Him, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many. 46Then they came to Jericho. And as He was leaving Jericho with His disciples and a great crowd, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, a son of Timaeus, was sitting by the roadside. 47And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, saying, Jesus, Son of David, have pity and mercy on me! 48And many severely censured and reproved him, telling him to keep still, but he kept on shouting out all the more, You, Son of David, have pity and mercy on me! 49And Jesus stopped and said, Call him. And they called the blind man, telling him, Take courage! Get up! He is calling you. Are all Christians (Christ-like) to be in service (a Ministry)? How many would tell the blind beggar to shut up and be quiet, or to just come back when it is more convenient.
I could never imagine knowing the Lord Jesus Christ and doing nothing with his hands and feet for service to others. Just imagine calling on the name of Jesus and he was just too busy for you!
I am always in awe that the Lord Jesus has allowed me to see him change so many people's lives right in front of me. People who thought there was no hope, people who thought no one cared. The stories are so many of people who were homeless for years, drug or alcohol addicted, having the Holy Spirit come into their bodies and are permanently changed forever. And this is happening right in front of me in these two parks where we serve. What is stopping you from serving him who was NOT too busy for YOU when you called on His name!
