| Yes, I'm one of those who still watch that show! I have to say, I was very happy Jordin won last night! She is a wonderful singer, she is beautiful, and best of all, she's only 17!!! The finale was extremly impressive, even if it went over the 2 hour limit. They had some fabulous preformances!!! Did you guys know that her song, "This Is My Now", was partly written by Scott Krippayne? For those of you who don't know who that is, he is a GREAT christian singer. I LOVE his music, and I've gotta say, his concerts are pretty good, too. (I saw one a few years ago with the McCreadies). Anyways, hope you all have a phenomenamazing weekend. (That's Jim's new word). I am excited because 1) Our cousins are coming, and 2) We get to take home a duckling for the weekend!!! I get it for Fri. and Sat., and my partner gets it Sun. and Mon. His full name is going to be Simba Waffle Mufasa Anderson-Koch, But we'll just call him one of the first 3 names. ;) See you all soon!!!

so, a lot of my friends at school could be filed into a number of religious "catagories": The "religious kids" who have a good christian family, go to church at least once a week, and spend time doing devotions and praying. Then there's the group of kids who say their families are christian or they were baptized, but you'd swear they were all athiests because they do whatever they want and complain about going to church. There's the kids who you know they're athiests or hindu or whatever, becuase they make it VERY clear. And then there's what i guess i'd put quite a few of my friends into (and i bet some of you would, too) which is the group that says they are christian, but i only see that in them maybe 1/3 of the time, some more, some less. One of these friends is Catholic, and she is usually a bit more than that 1/3, but not much. i love her very much. anyway, we got talking about church the other day at lunch. we talk about our youth groups a lot, but this was more of a God-centered talk. We talked a lot about what we believe, and she admitted that she thinks she won't be Catholic all her life. Her insights were very interesting, and i thought i'd share one of her quotes with you. "I wasn't sure what life was for unless I lived for somebody; helping them through life. For a while, I lived for Bill. Then we grew apart and I lived for Susie. Then I talked to Mary and she reminded me that I can't always live for my friends. I have to have a part of me that wants to live for me. I then decided that because I have Christ living in me, I have to live for Christ, even tho I mess up constantly. I have to keep trying, because I can't live for my friends; we all have to live for ourselves."
