Deuteronomy 30:10 - The LORD your God will delight in you if you obey his voice and keep the commands and laws written in this Book of the Law, and if you turn to the LORD your God with all your heart and soul.
Proverbs 11:1 The LORD....delights in honesty.
Proverbs 11:20 The LORD....delights in those who have integrity.
Proverbs 15:8 The LORD....delights in the prayers of the upright.
Proverbs 15:26 The LORD....delights in pure words.
Can we finite, sinful human beings truly bring joy and delight to the Lord, the Creator of the universe? YES, and it's simple, though not always easy - honor him, obey him, respond to his love, turn from evil, seek his forgiveness and walk daily with him.

A man of 92 years, short, very well presented, who takes great care in his appearance, is moving into an old people’s home today.
His wife of 70 has recently died, and he is obliged to leave his home.
After waiting several hours in the retirement home lobby, he gently smiles as he is told that his room is ready.
As he slowly walks to the elevator, using his cane, I describe his small room to him, including the sheet hung on the window which serves as a curtain.
“I like it very much”, he says, with the enthusiasm of an 8-year old who has just been given a new puppy.
“Mr. Gagne, you haven’t even seen the room yet, hang on a moment, we are almost there.”
“That has nothing to do with it”, he replies.
“Happiness is something I choose in advance. Whether or not I like the room does not depend on the furniture or the décor – rather it depends on how I decide to see it.”
“It is already decided in my mind that I like my room. It is a decision I make every morning when I wake up.”
“I can choose. I can spend my day in bed enumerating all the difficulties that I have with parts of my body that no longer work very well, or I can get up and give thanks to heaven for those parts that are still in working order.”
“Every day is a gift, and as long as I can open my eyes, I will focus on the new day, and all the happy memories that I have built up during my life.”
“Old age is like a bank account. You withdraw in later life what you have deposited along the way.”
“So, my advice to you is to deposit all the happiness you can in your bank account of memories.”
Thank you for your part in filling my account with happy memories, which I am still continuing to fill…

I will sing to the Lord as long as I live. I will praise God to my last breath! May he be pleased by all these thoughts about him, for he is the source of all my joy. Let all sinners perish --- all who refuse to praise him. But I will praise him. Hallelujah! (Psalm 104: 33-35)
Consider how great God is -- the awesome Creator of the universe. Consider how sinful and mortal we are. Then consider how great God's love is for us. How can we help but praise him?
How are some of the ways we can express our praise to God? Here are just a few I found in the scriptures:
I will praise him from the bottom of my heart. - Psalm 35:10 With all my heart I will praise you, O Lord my God. I will give glory to your name forever. - Psalm 86:12
So we can praise him with all of our heart!
Each morning and evening they stood before the LORD to sing songs of thanks and praise. - I Chronicles 23:30 I will sing to the LORD as long as I live. I will praise my God to my last breath! Psalm 104:33
We can praise him with all of our time.
All of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. - Romans 15:6
We can praise him with others.
The Levites from the clans of Kohath and Korah stood to praise the Lord, the God of Israel, with a very loud shout. - 2 Chronicles 20:19 I will praise the LORD at all times. I will constantly speak his praises. - Psalm 34:1
We can praise him with our mouths.
There are many other scriptures, especially in the Psalms, that tell that they used trumpets, cymbals and other instruments to accompany the songs of praise to God. They sang new songs of praise to him and played skillfully on the harp and sang with joy. They praised him with a psalm! They praised God with the tambourine and dancing; with stringed instruments and with flutes! Also with the clash of cymbals and loud clanging cymbals.
So we can praise him with music.
I will sacrifice a voluntary offering to you; I will praise your name, O LORD, for it is good. - Psalm 54:6
We can praise him with an offering.
And then what does God do when we give him all of this praise? The Bible says that He inhabits the praises of his people! Is our God wonderful or what?!!!
LET EVERYTHING THAT HATH BREATH, PRAISE THE LORD. PRAISE YE THE LORD!

Sometimes we go through some 'dry' times in our lives and it is very frustrating to us. Have you ever wondered what might frustrate God?
Psalm 78:40-42 says, "Oh, how often they rebelled against him in the desert and grieved his heart in the wilderness. Again and again they tested God's patience and frustrated the Holy One of Israel. They forgot about his power and how he rescued them from their enemies."
Hosea 6:4 tells us, "O Israel and Judah, what should I do with you?" asks the LORD. "For your love vanishes like the morning mist and disappears like dew in the sunlight."
It is frustrating to God to send out unending streams of love, mercy, and forgiveness to his people, only to see them dam the streams of blessings and keep their souls a spiritual desert.
So how can we best deal with our own frustrations so that we don't frustrate the one who gave His all for us? Ecc. 1:8 - Everything is so weary and tiresome! No matter how much we see, we are never satisfied. No matter how much we hear, we are not content.
Ecc. 2:20 - I turned in despair from hard work. It was not the answer to my search for satisfaction in this life.
Psalm 90:14 - Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives.
Acts: 17:25 - Human hands can't serve his needs-- for he has no needs. He himself gives life and breath to everything, and he satisfies every need there is.
We are frustrated when we fail to let God be God or when we try to understand the reasons for everything that happens. When we let go and let God work out what is best for us, we will relieve much of our frustration. I really think it's all about TRUST and LOVE, don't you? <><
There is a promise from God in Joshua 1:9 - I command you -- be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.
