I was reading a book named The Outsders by S.E. Hinton, (a very good book if you get to read it) and it had a great poem that Ponyboy (the main character) was reciting to his best friend Johnny while watching the sun rise. It is Nothing Gold Can Stay By: Robert Frost Natures first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf's a flower; But only so an hour. The leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down today. Nothing gold can stay. And it made me think about being a Christian in todays world. In the beggining we are as gold a hue as possible but as time goes by our golden hue is hard to hold and we start falling to temptation no matter if it is cursing or not getting into the bible as much as possble. Eventhough i know that is not what Robert Frost was thinking when he was writing this wonderious poem that is what i was thinking when i read his poem.
