Well where do I begin! My name is Patty and I thank God for graciously blessing me by calling me to attend VBF. I have been attending for approximately 4 years and have serve on a few different ministries including the usher ministy, mexico ministry, new believer's ministry, and the Women in Action-all of them are absolutely fabulous.
I am a single mother of a 14-month old miracle- the most significant reason for my existance. His name is Brendan Joseph and he is the absolute best thing that God has ever bestowed upon me. Although his birth came out of a two week stumble of drunkeness and fornication, I can honestly say God has blessed my life beyond anything imaginable by giving me my son.
I began attending VBF after receiving my 2nd DUI-both of which are now dismissed. Although I had obtained my MBA and worked in the professional arena, I could not part with the partying lifestyle, including drinking and dabbling in drugs. I could never figure out how to stop. In my mind, it was the social thing to do...all I had ever known even though I had attended church throughout my adolescence and high school.
I had tried many times to part with my addiction to a life of destructive behavior but was unable to do so. It was not until attending VBF and the heeding to the guidance and support of my cousin, who I found at VBF my first night in attendance, that I really began to change. I remember sitting in service and sobbing uncontrollably as Pastor Ron gave his sermons or as a worship song would touch my heart. I believe it was God cleansing me.
Now I am a completely different person! I have only occassional desires to feed my flesh and continue to minister to others any way that I can...from encouraging my brothers and sisters in Christ to giving to good causes, I strive to stay true to God and continue to serve in whatever capacity I am able. I thank Pastor Ron, Pastor Clark, Pastor Jim and my beautiful church family for saving me from myself.
If anyone needs a free hug and you see me at church, feel free to squeeze away and remember Love Breeds Love! God bless you all!

I wanted to say a prayer for you right now for 12-11-07, anyone who reads this I invite you to say this prayer also:
"God, we ask you to please acknowledge this prayer, as unconventional as this may be, what matters most is that you see our effort and you hear our cries to you, our Father. We thank you for giving your only begotten son, Jesus Christ, so that we may present to you our prayers and our requests. Patty and I thank you for being an "unconventional" God who defies our human logic and reasoning. Lord, there are things, circumstances, events in our lives that we cannot comprehend or make any sense out of. Neither can we fully comprehend your magnificent works. We thank you for being our Father and always knowing what we need, we thank you for being a God who goes to great lengths to make things RIGHT and we know that you will do such with Patty and her family's present circumstances. Lord, Patty and I take great pride in knowing that you can never be exhausted. I pray that Patty is filled with the Holy Spirit, so greatly that she is swelled by your strength, your love and your Word. God, I pray that you, today, begin providing Patty with the armor, begin giving to her the shield, the breastplate and all of the armor that you want her to take with her on that day by speaking to her through her friends, family, co-workers and especially through your Word. Give her precise scripture to take with her and imprint it on her heart so that she will not forget. Lord, you are our "refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble" . We believe that in these next days and on that day of 12-11-07 that "God will be in the midst of her; she will not be moved: God shall help her, at mornings dawn." And when Patty wakes up at dawn she will be receiving the power of You through the Holy Spirit, you will be with her, encouraging her and creating in her a fierce and flawless heart. She will be given the words to speak. Lord, even though that day it may very well seem that "the earth is displaced", she will "Be still and know that YOU are God". Because it is YOU that makes wars to cease and it is YOU who breaks the bow and snaps the spear in two and it is by all of us, your children, who will be exalting you before, during and after this battle. In Jesus' mighty name we pray, Amen."
PS when you are in the courtroom, pick out an empty chair by you and have Jesus take a seat. You will see how it helps you. God Bless.
