Yesterday was a wonderful day for me and I would like to share it with you.
We have been praying for a Dr. for Phillip- not only did we get one but they got us in today! I have such great hopes after meeting the Dr. for Phillip's recovery. It has been a long time in coming and I am grateful to God even if he had to send us all the way to Albama to receive it.
We have been waiting for a spot to open up in pre-school for Merrik. They called and he is in 2 days a week. Hallalujah I can finally get some work done!
I got both girls registered for school! Everyone is going to school and I am celebrating on the first day they are all gone.
It is sometimes a long wait for answers to come from the Lord. He makes us wait sometimes but then he sends down showers of blessings. I had that yesterday. I was exhausted with the days activities but had such joy and excitement just knowing that God is still in control, that he wants the best for me and that he has given me the desires of my heart. The best things come to those who wait.
I have felt like I was just clinging on to God for dear life for such a long time. I found the mountain top! I will enjoy it while it lasts and savor the feeling long after I reach the valley. Hopefully, this time it won't be for long, but if it is I know that God is with me.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow Praise Him all creatures here below Praise Him above ye heavenly host Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost AMEN!

I write this in Honor of My "Pastors". They have been wonderful to my family and I will never forget it. Also to everyone who has a pastor.
Our Pastor
Have you ever walked in our Pastor's shoes, And gone where his feet have trod? Have you ever thought of what he means to us, And on your knees, given thanks to God?
Have you ever told him thank you, For being there when times are tough, For comforting words and fervent prayers When trials come and the storms of life are rough?
Have you ever thought to say thank you Pastor, For preaching God's word to help us understand, For all the times he has asked for things That will lend us a helping hand?
When you pray, put him on top of the list, And ask the Lord to surround him with loving care, To give him strength and walk with him, To help him with the burdens that he must bear.
Have you ever walked in our Pastor's shoes, And gone where his feet have trod? Have you ever thought of what he means to us, And on your knees, given thanks to God? ~Author unknown
Being a pastor is a difficult life! I know. It puts strains on your spiritual, physical, and family life that no one can understand. People don't understand when you take a day off during the week. They forget that you work on Sunday. They forget that you fight a spiritual battle for the souls of men and women daily, and as exhausting as your work day is theirs is more. In the Salvation Army it is even worse. We must deal with more than just church members. We have advisory boards, employees, finances, social services, fundraising, FEMA, Diaster services, shelters, etc, etc, etc. I know you can think of more than I. I praise God for all the pastors I have had in my life! The list isn't that big. I also thank God for all the Sunday school teachers, song leaders, and others who have taken the time to teach and train me to fight in this battle. Thank your pastor today. They will be stunned and appreciative that someone noticed.

It's Spring Planting Time Plant five rows of peas: preparedness, promptness, perseverance, politeness and prayer. Next plant three rows of squash: squash gossip, squash criticism, and squash indifference. Then plant five rows of lettuce: let us be faithful, let us be loyal, let us be unselfish, let us love one another, and let us be truthful. No Garden is complete without turnips: turn up for church, turn up with a smile, turn up with a new idea, and turn up with real determination! (unknown author)
I thought everyone might like to read and plant these in the Garden of our Hearts Captain Lynn Irish
