Well...what is there to tell about me. I am married to my best friend, Clayton and even though our past lives have so much in common, we also have just as much that is not common. This balance of diversity/alike can be challenging if we don't appreciate what the other can bring into the family as far as experiences and expertise. I am the mother of 5 wonderful children; each one is a very special and unique individual, and 2 beautiful grandchildren. My husband and I are striving to do our part to make our community a safer and more nurturing place for children to grow up in. The things we see around us are very troubling. We feel that as christian adults it is our responsibility to bring to the awareness of those around us that society as a whole has turned a blind eye for too long. If we want to stop the entertainment business from continuing to fill our world with filth, then we need to target the paying audience. If we want to change the world we live in, it starts with changes in the home. Just imagine what the world would be like if we all put our foot down and refused to pay money for music, games, and movies that are dripping with sinful inuendos! I have been receiving emails for some time telling me not to buy gas on a particular day in an effort to hurt the people who are in the oil business. I haven't received one single email asking me to make sure me/my children refrain from purchasing music, games, or movies.

| | Interests I love gardening and home decorating. My dream is to own and operate a Hobby Farm and be able to gather my own milk, honey, eggs, and so forth, as well as make my own butter and cheese. I plan to name it Bethany. I would also want to use that space to help mentor to children that may otherwise not have the opportunity to be exposed to the blessing of working with nature. In addition, I would like to incorporate some sort of health program that helps kids stay active and at a healthy weight without having to participate in competitive sports; which does not motivator many, including myself. I do not want to give my children everything I did not have...I want to give them opportunities I did not have! There is a big difference. | MoviesI like a wide variety of movies, but don't have a lot of time to watch movies. Most of the time I don't see a movie until about a year or so after it comes out. But that's ok with me! | MusicI like such a wide variety of music it's hard to say a favorite. I enjoy rock, christian rock, gospel, country, some of the 70's and 80's pop; just really anything that lifts me up and makes me feel inspired in some way. | BooksI don't get a lot of opportunity to read fiction, but in the past I have read a lot of John Jakes. I posted the last few books I have read because I would highly recommmend them to all women; particularly those that feel as if they are carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders. | | Television I don't watch a lot of tv, but when I do I like to watch some of the investigative shows like CSI, Law and Order. I also enjoy HGTV, TV Land, History Channel, and RFDTV when I can get it. |

Thanks for checking up on me...I am gradually improving. Still not at 100%...probably somewhere around 70. :) I still sound like a man! Take care and have a good week! I did come back to work today...only to better my mood! (read the sarcasm :) See you Wednesday night! |
