I was born in Detroit but moved to the Hudson Valley area of New York when I was little. I graduated from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh NY with a degree in Business Management and started my career in business. That is until I met Charlie who was attending West Point. We were married in the Cadet Chapel on West Point and after our honeymoon headed to Germany for his first assignment. They were three really fun years and we got to see a lot of Europe while living there. I worked for the government - Civil Service - while living in Germany. I was pregnant with our oldest and we were making plans to return to the US when Charlie's unit was put on alert for Desert Storm. So I returned to the US and Charlie headed to Southwest Asia. So I was a full-time parent for the next 17 years as we added two more awesome children and lived in 7 different places.
Now I am a teacher's assistant for the Pre-K class at Sam Houston Elementary in Maryville. It is an enriching experience, a humbling responsibility, and amazing to see the impact that we have on these little ones' lives.

I love to knit and to read. The only challange is finding the time to do them! :-)
