I was born in Claremore in October, years ago. ha I attended Miami Public Schools graduating in 1958. I married Leon in June of that year. He passed away in 2005. We had been married 47 years and 29 days. We moved to Welch the day after our wedding. No honeymoon. He had been off work due to a strike at the B. F. Goodrich plant and had been called back to work that week. We did have honeymoons, one trip to Hawaii and another to Jamaica plus several in state trips. We started to Church as soon as we became engaged on Christmas Eve of 1957. We were faithful members at Church every Sunday. Well, a few times things happened that we missed: sickness, births, deaths, etc. but not many. We had three children born to us. Lori, Bill, and John. We have five living grandchildren: Nathan, Melissa, Joshua, Jacob, and Sydney. Superkids and faithful to God. We came to ETC in 1988. There were about 100 people attending then. We would have the radio blaring with Christian music on the way to ETC. We were so happy and excited to have found a church where the Holy Spirit was taught. We had a lot to learn. The thirty years we had attended church the Holy Spirit person of the Trinity was ignored. We were filled with the Spirit before we came to ETC that was the reason we had to find another Church. Leon was filled with the Spirit in Jamaica while we were attending a Christ for The Nations meeting at Montego Bay. We were having the time of our life. Powerful sermons from Pastor Bruce every week, well, three times a week. We couldn’t wait till the Church doors opened. We attended Joe Dockery’s class for two years and came back the next year and sat in the class. More powerful teaching and seeing the Holy Spirit at work again it was a thrilling time. After several years ETC stopped having Sunday night services. We were so accustomed to going Sunday night services that we started attending Log Cabin. I enjoy the different speakers and the McGlasson family. It is a joy to see the growth and the prayers answered. It is so precious to me to see my children (this includes their wives and husband) and grandchildren faithfully serving the Lord. They have been blessed with so many talents and God had blessed us over and over again. He is so faithful to us.
