It is July and HOT out.  I know it is only in the low 90's here but still.  That is hot enough for me.  I do not like being hot.  In my opinion, you can only take off so much and you are still hot.  You can put on as much as you want to get warm when it is cold.

It is the same way with our salvation.  To get warm in the cold spiritual times (life struggles), all you need do is put on the full armour of God.  If you are in the hot spiritual times (everything going fine and dandy) you cannot take anything else off but are more susceptible to sin.

Hell is going to be hot hot hot!

So if you can't take the heat, stay out of sin!  Cool off with a good dosing of the Word and Prayer!

It's always a little hard to cope with new beginnings.  With my wedding coming up in a couple of weeks and the move associated with it, I'll be experiencing three new beginnings.  I'll be married (1st), moving to a new place (2nd) and getting a new job (3rd).

So, what would it take to make a fourth new beginning of starting a new business and working for myself?  I've always been a little apprehensive of new beginnings.  But this would be the perfect time to try something new.  Like starting a photo restoration and retouching business.

Has a new beginning inspired you to try something even newer?  What would you do if you could have a new beginning?

It's that time of year again. The time for picnics and grilling out. The time for ants and bees!

Summer is here again. It's not my favorite time of year, but it is a beautiful season. It's a time when people are happier and get together just to hang out.

My favorite time of year is fall. I love the change in the leaves and the reduced temperature. Spring is a close second and would have been first if it wasn't for the pollen.

It is another Hallmark holiday.  It is Administrative Professionals Day (Once called Secretary's Day and Administrative Assistant's Day).  Card companies thrive on creating holidays for everything.

I believe it should be Administrative Professionals Day every day the office is open.  In my experience, employees work harder and better when they feel that the boss cares about them and offers his/her appreciation on a regular basis, not just once a year.

Have you worked under a boss that did not appear to appreciate you and what you do in the office?  How did you deal with it?

I found that it is good to conform when you must, but it is much better to just be yourself.

Many times people will look down on you if you are different. It can be hard to stick to your standards and/or beliefs when they are redically different from those of others around you.

Has there been a time when you were in a situation where you were different (looks, beliefs, outlook, etc.) from the people you were with? How did you react to that situation?
