Hi, I'm Matt Farina.
My life in general revolves around God, my engineering job, my family and friends, web development, and my podcast. The podcast is the Geeks and God podcast (www.geeksandgod.com) where we talk about technology and the church.
My engineering job is one of those fun filled defense industry jobs. If I talk about my job men in suits start nosing around. Suffice it to say that it's more often than not more like the movie Office Space than anything to be passionate about. Yet, I have been blessed by moving up through the ranks as fast as corporately possible.
Since High School (yikes) I have been involved in web development. It started with HTML back in 1996 (oh man, that was 10 years ago) and today is a mix of php, javascript, AJAX, and C with quite a bit of drupal (drupal.org) scattered in there to make development faster and easier. All my development these days is for the church as I already have an engineering day job.
I have an amazing wife and a great family. If you are interested in more please feel free to ask.
Oh, and if you think I am a complete geek, I do work out, place sports, follow Detroit sports in disgusting detail.
