I direct the Ministry of Outreach & Evangelism at the Worship Center. Driven to reach people for Jesus, I try to demonstrate that missions is by no means a mere "over land and seas" issue, but that the life of a missionary is one that we should be committed to live out every day - no matter where we may be.
I've been saved for 16 years and I love the Lord with all my heart. God's placed a fire burning within me that pushes me to spread His Word to the people He's placed in my life. We must seek to encourage others to use their individual giftings to fulfill Christ's Commission to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature" ( Mark 16:15), and to reach the people God has entrusted them to reach.
I have a BA in Psychology with a focus on working with victims of sexual abuse and has a minor in Human Rights Pre-Law. I've been heavily involved with grassroots social activist groups since college and one of the biggest things that have impacted my life was when I worked overseas with IJM in Thailand for five months doing aftercare for victims of sexual abuse, forced prostitution, bonded labor and other types of human rights abuse. However, I don't believe missions should be limited to overseas work, but that missions is something we live everyday, wherever we are.I worked for sometime to serve the homeless in the streets of Harrisburg, PA, Camden, NJ and southeast Washington, DC; and now am enjoying working at The Worship Center and helping to meet the needs of the community there.
Music has also been and continues to be an important part of my life and my faith. I love music and I love the Lord, whenever I find myself crying out for something real & something genuine, I always find it in Him.
My faith translates into melody and back again.Music has been a way that He has given me to work through frustrations, inspirations, and to come to know Him more. I 've been writing most of my life and one of my favorite ways to spend my evenings is playing the blues with my dad after supper.
