As Executive Director of the Global Hair and Beauty Expo, Northern California's largest independent industry only trade expo, I have established myself as an influential element in the growth of the beauty industry.
My love is hair and beauty. For almost 15 years, I have successfully owned and run a salon and beauty supply store. I am also the patented inventor of the Multistand Synthetic Cauterizer-the only hand-held rope cutter in the world-and the Finale Braid Sealer. As a result of my industry designs, I have been featured in Teen People Magazine, Tyra Bank's Fashionhouse, Braids & Beauty, Try it Yourself, the Oakland Tribune, The Sacramento Observer, Tracy Press, Good Day Sacramento and numerous editorials around the country. I have been the focus of various collegiate reports and points of discussion.
However...as a wife and mother of two boys, Cameron and Logan, I find that I get the most joy out of spending time with them. We spend most of our time together as family. Both of my boys are involved in sports so I stay busy with practices and games. They also enjoy amusement parks and bike rides, so we spend most of our summer doing those types of activities.
We belong to Christian Worship Center (CWC) in Manteca, California. Our pastor is Bishop Steve Perea and he is awesome. We have a fantastic choir and the movement of God is present every time you step through the doors.
My children attend the children's church during service so they get a chance to discover the love of God in their way. It's great because as children they don't understand shame, so they will praise God whenever and wherever we are. As a matter of fact, Logan was just praising God in Radio Shack the other day. He decided to switch channels on their sattelite radio and he found a gospel station. He said, " listen Mommy, it's holy music". He raised his hands in the air and began praising the Lord. Now how awesome is that!
