I'm a huge fan of the Jason Bourne series, and my partner and I must have watched the Matrix 20 times. I've long loved Chariots of Fire and the Name of the Rose, and I was thrilled when the Lord of the Rings was made into a film trilogy. I'm also a big Harry Potter fan, though it took me a while to get on board and actually read the books.

I suppose my bread n' butter, music-wise, is singer/songwriter: Shawn Colvin, James Taylor, Elton John, Cheryl Wheeler, Catie Curtis, Bonnie Rait, Billy Joel. I like a fair bit of Classic Rock, and some Contemporary Christian if it isn't too syruppy or if its theology doesn't offend me (though sometimes that doesn't matter-- I admit I'm a sucker for Keith Green, even though I don't agree with his apocalyptic outlook and what I know of his politics). I also like funk and am getting more into jazz. Some alternative is cool. I just don't like stuff that shades into thrasher.

I *love* to read, and I often find that the best books, whether fiction or non, take me right into the heart of the good news, even when the book isn't trying to do that. The above books are simply some of my favorites of those I've read recently. For church purposes, I especially recommend _Take This Bread_ by Sara Miles.

I'm not very exciting when it comes to tv. I like PBS (esp. the American Experience, Frontline and sometimes Nova), baseball and football (Red Sox and Patriots), the Closer, and just about all the Law & Orders.
