I just have a few minutes to up date, hopefully I can do more later...that's how much stuff has been going on. So last Thursday we met with the minor league baseball team the Aberdeen Ironbirds, actually we met with the PR girl, and we have partnered with them for Christmas in July on July 30 at their home game-which is sold out to 6500 people! First I have only ever done Promos with 500 to 600 people-so this is major exciting! Second I am a baseball fan, I have baseball cards-complete sets-going back to the early 80's! The Ironbirds are owned by Cal and Bill Ripken, you know the major league baseball players! Cal played for Baltimore and so did Bill. Well while we were in our meeting Bill came in-so we met Bill Ripken-which is pretty cool. My development director Diana-I love her and my social worker /community coordinator and I are so excited about this. Now all we have to do is pack 6,000 salvation army bags with goodies! We are having kettles at the entrance and the BIG kettle out front! This is so awesome, we prayed in church the Sunday before that we could have PR moment's to get the Army's name out there in the community-HELLO-check this one off as ANSWERED! I'm starving and I have to abuse a black and white copier-while making several thousand flyers.

Have you ever needed a little pick me up? I did. I was looking through some files on my computer and saw a letter that one of my teens wrote while we were riding back from HL camp and she had my computer watching a movie! The letter was just what I needed! (Hi Veejay) Some times you wonder was anyone paying attention? And then you find out, yes they were! Love ya girl!
