Greek name: Επευθυτηβετής < epi- + euthutês + bainô + -tês, c.f. epibainô
I'm a linguist in training (or shall be?). People nod and smile when I say "morphophonology" now. Or "active-stative alignment". Or "I just love Wakashan languages such as Nuuchahnulth for their polysynthetic verbs and deliciously concatenative structure". What can I say? The fact that one day in Latin II (the day of the final?) I independently developed ergativity unequivocally makes me a linguistics geek.
