Hey Jes,

I would agree with Skip that clique, especially with FBCV youth, is a very strong word.  I also agree that we do draw closer to some than others, for whatever reason.  I believe God made us that way and we are to use this tendency for his Glory.

I see these drawing groups in FBCV Youth, but not cliquish.  Cliques exclude people in a very strong way.  I have never seen this in the FBCV Youth.  Cliques criticize and push people away.  Again I have not seen this in the FBCV Youth group.  If someone is feeling excluded then invite them in.  I have seen this happen with FBCVY.

Here is an example that is amazing in this area, Jesus & the 12 Apostles.  I wonder if they were ever accused of being cliquish.  I know they were. Jesus made it that way.  He used this to train and provide a support group that when needed they were there for each other.  I see this as the real reason for christian cliques, that is to form small groups of people that are drawn together that support one another, encourage one another, and keep one another accountable to Jesus.  Now doesn't that sound biblical and even the craze of the day.

So don't give up cliques, but use them for Christ Glory.  Encourage others to form their own Christian Cliques.  But always realize that even though we are drawn more to certain people we are called to be unified to every believer and especially to those in our own "local body of believers" (Church)!!!

In Christ Love,
Bro. Cameron

You know I have wondered about that from time to time. I think click is a strong word. You do have certain youth that are more out-going than others. So naturally those would be the ones that stand out the most. I am sure there is a little bit of this clickyness just because of the ages, the personalities and such. No matter how good of a Christian that we are we will always like certain people better than others. I pray that God helps us in that area so we can be friendly to all. But as for clicks I don't see it on the surface but I am sure that deep down we all have our favorites. This can be a topic we address in class one of these days if you want.
