About Me

I am Mike Yost and I am the pastor of the wonderful Eagle River Church of the Nazarene. I have been here for a little over 2 years and love it. I serve at a church filled with great people and live in a state that rivals any place on God's green earth.

Interests

I like to read...a lot. I will read just about anything you put in front of me. I like trivial knowledge (and Trivial Pursuit). I downhill ski, Mountain Bike, Rock Climb, Snow Shoe, and since moving to Alaska I have been bitten by the fishing bug. Once I reeled in that first king salmon I was hooked (pun intended).

Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Bible; particularly Luke/Acts, Three Cups of Tea, Sherlock Holmes, Pride and Prejudice (yes, it is a fantastic book), The Princess Bride, A River Runs Through It, Into Thin Air, Schindler's list, Life of Pi, Listening in as Act of Love

Hello, Pastor Mike, and welcome to My Church! We're happy to have you join us.

Ephesians 4:11-12: "It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up."
