EPH.2:4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us, 2:5 even though we were dead in transgressions, made us alive together with Christ – by grace you are saved! – 2:6 and he raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 2:7 to demonstrate in the coming ages the surpassing wealth of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 2:8 For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; 2:9 it is not from works, so that no one can boast. 2:10 For we are his workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand so we may do them.

It's All For His Glory The message I keep consistently reading lately, is that everything is to be for God's glory, whether it is something He has done or will do, or something we do.

Our salvation is for His glory:

Eph 1:11-12 (NIV) In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will, 12 in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of His glory.

His created works are for His glory:

Psa 19:1 (NIV) A psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.

Miraculous works were / are done for His glory:

John 9:1-3 (NIV) As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked Him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" 3 "Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life.

Our good works, which we do only with His help, are for His glory:

Phil 1:11 (NIV) filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ--to the glory and praise of God.

In fact, all we do is to be for His glory -- that can be a scary thought, eh? : )

1 Cor 10:31 (NIV) So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

EVERYthing is for His glory: Rom 11:36 (NIV) For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.
Have a very blessed day and may God's love and grace abide with you. God bless!! Roy

Every New Year's Eve, many of us make well-meaning resolutions to "turn over a new leaf," - whether it's in the area of relationships, weight loss, breaking destructive habits or something else. With God, every day and even every minute afford us the chance for a "clean slate," the opportunity to to start over. We may have to deal with the consequences of our behavior, but it's never too late - He will still bless us with an abundant life. No matter what we have done or experienced, God is always eager to give us a new start. Today we look at related passage.

Lamentations 3:22-23 (NASB) The LORD'S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.
HAVE A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!! ROY

Christian MySpace Graphics Psa 121:1 A Song of degrees. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. Psa 121:2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. Psa 121:3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Psa 121:4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. Psa 121:5 The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. Psa 121:6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. Psa 121:7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. Psa 121:8 The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.
