About Me

I am the Corps Sergeant Major for the Covington, VA Salvation Army and I love the Lord with all my heart, mind, and soul. As a result of a Sunday School contest (which my friend Ms. Betty won) I've been with the army since January, 1981 when my husband and I became soldiers. In 2002, after 22 years of marriage, he was promoted to glory. My husband was my soul mate and when he died it felt like the biggest part of me was buried with him. My corps family prayed for me when I couldn't and Major Linda Sloan (my corps officer and best friend ) reminded me I was still here and there was much work to be done. Thank God for these wonderful people that were in my life at the time when I really needed them.

Interests

I love digital photography. A high for me is taking pictures and rushing home to load them on my computer.
