| OK, so I saw a really funny t-shirt in a magazine at my mom's house the other day...It's really fancy lettering across the front "Manure Occureth!" I'm waiting in the kitchen, at the time, for the seventh toddler to finish doing her buisness in the bathroom and just started cracking up. One of our kids looked up at me like I was losing it and said "Why ya laughing, Miss Kelly?" I couldn't think of an appropriate way to explain, so I just said I thought of a funny thing...Whew, lucky she bought it! Anyway, I got to thinking about that concept in particular. I've had several people come to me lately with comments along the lines of "You guys don't deserve to be going through this" and "It's too bad when bad things happen to good people" yada yada yada... So here's what I think- God doesn't put the piles of manure in front of us on our journey-he doesn't want bad stuff to happen to us, it just does! He's the one right there beside me in the trenches handing me a shovel so I can keep digging through. I also believe He's the one directly responsible for putting people in my life to listen to me whine and encourage me to keep shoveling, for lack of a better phrase. So here I go, feeling rather strong at the moment, ready for whatever life throws at me next because I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that I'll never be going through anything alone. Thank you God for the shovel :)
