About Me  
I was born and raised in the Grand Rapids area-graduated from Jenison High School (1997) and Eastern Michigan University in 2003 with a degree in Special Education and Early Childhood Education.  While there, I competed for four years as a springboard and platform diver on the Women's Swimming and Diving Team-an accomplishment I'm pretty proud of after basically begging the coach to let me have a try as a freshman walk-on athlete who is afraid of heights. 

My husband Steve and I met in our former church's childrens choir in elementary school and grew up together in youth group, though we never really dated until college... He'll claim it's 'cuz I wasn't interested, my story is that he should have spoken up a little sooner!   :)  Within about a month of me receiving my teaching certificate in the mail in 2003, we were blessed to discover we were expecting our first child! God's plans are always right and after a little bit of adjusting what I thought my plans should be, my mom and I opened "Beppe's House," child care at her home.  We currently have 12 children, all 4 and under--a wonderful and crazy way to spend the week.  It's been a blessing to use both my education and passion for reaching and teaching young children during the most critical phase of development to fulfill God's plan for this part of my life! I thank Him everyday that my original plan didn't turn out exactly as I had thought it would!! 

Steve and I now have 3 beautiful children-Rileigh (4), Julia (3) and Caleb (1). They are truly the most amazing part of my life! It's sometimes overwhelming to think that God trusted me, of all the people in the world, to be their mom.  Praise to Him for giving me the courage and strength I need to raise them in a sometimes scary world!

Oh yeah, and just so we didn't get bored on the year "off" between Julia and Caleb, we added an English Bulldog named Fritzie (2) to the bunch to keep life interesting :)  She is now a 55 pound bowling ball who thinks she is a cat!

Just wanted to let you know that I'm proud of you!!!!!!!!!!
No matter what, you keep pushing through...must be some of that Fresian blood in you, too, eh?
Always remember to hang in there, 'cause you'll get arrested if you're hangin' out!
