We went to the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC this week. For Donna it was her first visit and my second.
It is a sombering experience and leaves unanswered the question, not why do evil people do evil things, rather why do average "normal" people do evil things?
Is there a sin nature that compels us to do evil ? Is it the sin of society that causes us to sin ? Many people did not particpate in the actual Geoncide of the Jews, instead they stood by and pretended that nothing was going on. Are they held accountable by God for their inaction to allow evil, I think the answer is yes.
As believers we are called to be active in the good fight, rather than passive bystanders.

Abraham, Benjamin, Daniel, Ezekiel, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers Adam, Noah, Abraham, Jacob Creation, Garden,Flood, Babel
We tend to be linear in our thinking. First this happpens and than the next thing happens. God is not linear, he loved us before we knew him, he loved us even as we rejected him. He loves us as we accept him.
God loves us not because first this happens than the next happens, He loves us because that his nature and essence.

What would Jonah do ?
First, he would run away. Second, he would do what he was suppose to do grudgingly. Third, he would sit down and complain.
Sometimes we wonder if we can measure up to the great men and woman of the Bible. I pick Jonah
Our greatest flaw in life is chosing our very best moment to compare to others very worst moments !

Everything is possible tomorrow, just not probable.
Tomorrow, I am going to start diet, but probably not. Tomorrow, I am going to start reading my Bible everyday, but probably not. Tomorrow, I am going to stop talking about other people, but probably not. Tomorrow, I am going to start giving my time, my talent, my treasure to winning not the world to Christ, but my next door neighbor, the kid with the locker next to mine, the cahier at the convenience store I see every day, but probably not. Tomorrow, I can do all things through Jesus, but probaly not. Tomorrow becomes yesterday and yesteryear and that is probaly true. Tomorrow is not when Christ died for my sins, today is when he wants me to accept that. Tomorrow is not when the Holy Spirit is promised to us, but today,

Experiencing the extraordinary while performing the ordinary
I don't know about you, but I am amazed every day in the minute ways God has his hand upon our lives. So often I get trapped into thinking what I am doing is routine and has no larger impact on life. Like tiny drivets of waters although minor turn into flood waters. Minor things turn into major things. If I am truly listening to God, I am heasring him and sensing him even in the tinest of moments.
