I'm a
life-long resident of Michigan, having grown up in Escanaba--not in da
moonlight--in the Upper Peninsula and now settled in Jenison with my wife,
Melanie. We married soon after graduating from Western Michigan
University in 2000. I taught 5th graders at Dansville Elementary for
two years before we relocated from Howell to the area in which she grew
up in 2002. We had been attending services at Georgetown during our visits to her family, and became members that year. Appropriate for someone who's a kid at heart, I spend most
of my days with 8- and 9-year olds as a 3rd grade teacher at Grandville
East Elementary. Melanie and I welcomed our first child, Hope
Catherine, on March 15th, 2008. We're planning to dedicate her to God on Mother's Day later this spring.
