I am a busy, crazy, happy wife, mom and teacher. For the past 21 (can it be???) years, I have been an elementary music teacher - a job that is a joy and, for right now, my calling in life. God has always been busy in my life, and I became a Christian in the summer between sixth and seventh grade at a tiny little church - Brookfield United Methodist. I love to learn about my own faith and about the beliefs of others. Through music, I have had the opportunity to sing in churches (and other cool places from castles to pubs) all over the US and Europe, and I have been so blessed to meet many people in that way. One of the most special spiritual experiences for me was singing in Wesley's "New Room" in Bristol, England - or was that London?? The biggest lesson learned from that??? You don't need to travel anywhere to meet God - he is always right beside you!! Isn't that neat???!!!!
I have attend GUMC for about 15 years now. I love the openness, the caring people, and the opportunities to serve. Oh, did I mention I LOVE the music??? |
