September 17, 2008 WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT
by Charles R. Swindoll Read Job 1:1--12 Without Job's knowing it, a dialogue took place in the invisible world. As the Lord and Satan had their strange encounter, the subject quickly turned to this well-known earthly man. The Lord calls Satan's attention to Job's exemplary life, and Satan responds with a sinister sneer. "Of course, who wouldn't serve You, the way You've prospered and protected him. Take away all the perks and watch what happens; the man will turn on You in a flash." God agrees to let the Adversary unload on Job. And so, in today's terms, the Lord bet Satan that Job would never turn on Him. Philip Yancey refers to that agreement as the "divine wager." Satan instigates a sudden and hostile removal of all the man's possessions, leaving him bankrupt. Within a matter of minutes, everything he owned was gone. This brings us to the first lesson worth remembering: we never know ahead of time the plans God has for us. Job had no prior knowledge or warning. That morning dawned like every other morning. The night had passed like any other night. There was no great angelic manifestation---not even a tap on his window or a note left on the kitchen table. In one calamity after another, all the buildings on his land are gone, and nothing but lumber and bodies litter the landscape. It occurred so fast, Job's mind swirled in disbelief. Everything hit broadside . . . his world instantly changed. You and I must learn from this! We never know what a day will bring, whether good or ill. Our heavenly Father's plan unfolds apart from our awareness. Ours is a walk of faith, not sight. Trust, not touch. Leaning long and hard, not running away. No one knows ahead of time what the Father's plan includes. It's best that way. It may be a treasured blessing; it could be a test that drops us to our knees. He knows ahead of time, but He is not obligated to warn us about it or to remind us it's on the horizon. We can be certain of this: our God knows what is best. Reprinted by permission. People seem to forget God still working on US..God still working on you, God still working on them..This is not an overnight fixer upper, we all are far from being perfect in this world, upon this world and for each other.. I have seen people point fingers, whispers and try to cover up who they are while God working on them.. I have seen God molding a team together and then I seen satan sneaks in and stir it up and put in his two cent worth, and the battle starts, why do this happen? There could be many reasons of why, we all have to seek and see why it started this, it easy said then done, I had my share with this boat and from time to time when I am on the boat to learn a value of wisdom and knowledge from my mistake. The year 2003 I finally understood what was I doing and had a choice what to do and I stir up my flesh in a battle zone and gave it all to the Lord, repented and kick butts, flesh screaming NOOOOOOOOOO and Holy Spirit saying YESSSSSSSSSSSS down you go flesh begone she not want you nomore, she stopping the pointing, start to pray, she stop whispers, and start witnessing of Jesus Christ, and mostly she going to stop covering up what God is and has been doing, she going to let it go, her past, her hurt, her anger,her hate of certain things, her loneliness, her fear of life, her childish act, her worldly spoilness, her jealousiness,her feeling sorry for herself, and she going to trust all in all with God, nomore one foot in worldly,and other in God, she going to start learning, trusting,grace,mercy,joy,peace,love,longsuffering,meekness,humble,while we are doing this she going to learn forbearing ,forgiviness,yield to God,dwelling God Words,give thanks with thanksgiving,sing with grace in her heart, she going to do what right for and in the Father eyes and sight. In meantime the flesh is screaming kicking, yelling and crying cause the flesh know it the truth and the truth will set you free, saying leave me alone and the Spirit say nope she going to get a life with Jesus because she humble she ask from her heart to God through Jesus Christ and you are so done with..Bam swoosh my life was in peace, a peace that I cannot explain the feeling ,my hurt,hate,sad,disappears etc... poof gone.Glory to God he a mighty God..The time of your appointment is near, give it all to him and take the step on actions to cut the root of the causing troubles in your life, make it into your stepping stones by faith and not by sight as you go..I have a long way to go..How about you? Week of September 12 Perfect Love
by Max Lucado Isn't it good to know that even when we don't love with a perfect love, he does? God always nourishes what is right. He always applauds what is right. He has never done wrong, led one person to do wrong, or rejoiced when anyone did wrong. For he is love, and love "does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth" (1 Cor. 13:6 NASB). God passes the test of 1 Corinthians 13:6. Well, he should; he drafted it. So where does this leave us? Perhaps with a trio of reminders. When it comes to love: Be careful. Until love is stirred, let God's love be enough for you. There are seasons when God allows us to feel the frailty of human love so we'll appreciate the strength of his love. Didn't he do this with David? Saul turned on him. Michal, his wife, betrayed him. Jonathan and Samuel were David's friends, but they couldn't follow him into the wilderness. Betrayal and circumstances left David alone. Alone with God. And, as David discovered, God was enough. David wrote these words in a desert: "Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.... My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods" (Ps. 63:3, 5 NIV). Be prayerful. What if it's too late? Specifically, what if you're married to someone you don't love--or who doesn't love you? Many choose to leave. That may be the step you take. But if it is, take at least a thousand others first. And bathe every one of those steps in prayer. Love is a fruit of the Spirit. Ask God to help you love as he loves. "God has given us the Holy Spirit, who fills our hearts with his love" (Rom. 5:5 CEV). Ask everyone you know to pray for you. Your friends. Your family. Your church leaders. Get your name on every prayer list available. And, most of all, pray for and, if possible, with your spouse. Ask the same God who raised the dead to resurrect the embers of your love. Be grateful. Be grateful for those who love you. Be grateful for those who have encouraged you to do what is right and applauded when you did. Do you have people like that in your world? If so, you are doubly blessed. Be grateful for them. And be grateful for your Father in heaven.

Something has been brewing in my mind since I read Patti Blog... It had me ponder for the day.. How our mind works..For me it was ok Lord help me on this cause this has somehow happening to me, but for mine it for a different reason..I have thyroid problems that is damage and taken strong thyroid pill for it. It under control with Holy Spirit help also,i.e. faith,believer..He still working on me with this body I am using... I was diagnose of the three things that in the same area in the 90's,it started out my daughter got a 12 speed bike, she laugh and said mom show me you can ride a bike(it been yrs I been on one due to an accident) I said ok smarty pants I will.. going down hill was great man I miss the wind hitting me, feeling the cool air as I go.. hmmm ok far enough I peddle back, something wrong here I was short very short out of breath, my legs started to hurt, thought to myself yep out of exercise must do list to get me back in shape.. it would take me 3 mins to get back and it not, it took me 15 mins to get back.. I guess my face has told on me something wrong when they seen me, my kid had a fear looking on her face..I said I will be ok just let me seat down and rest, in meantime I can feel my heart pounding out everywhere,ie feet,fingers, ears,eyes etc..Mom has gotten me water I almost choke on it, it would not go down my throat like it use to do.. Thought that strange I not got stung by bee,what causing this?? That night I look in the mirror and I seen a lump on my neck, I was in fear cause my dad died of cancer in the throat.. I walked out to talk to mom with tears and said mom I need to see a cancer doctor. She looked up seen my face white as can be with fear,I show her the lump..The next day I went to the doctor , mom got me in asap and she went with me..He ran a test and came back told me Iam out of whack and my body is not working right and there may be a pill to help.. Got started slowly things going in place.. I am not out of the woods but it was getting there. As through The years I began to notice Iam very forgetful,I would place something here and for some reason it there not here..I misplace my keys, coat etc.. One thing I not misplace was my teeth lol yep sense humor in here... mom would send me out to get something and when I get there it was like ok what was I to get. I could not remember.. I went back home and said mom what it is you want from the store.. it was something simple milk we need.. ok I thought strange why is this happening.. I learn I will have this till the day I die.. The doctor said it one thing that will happen in the future you will lose your memories slowly as you grow. The look on my face again was fear, Hey wait a minute I am only in my early 30's Iam still young here doc...Here told me I need to relax cause it can mess me up.. lol easy said then done..My temperature was out of whack, winter time I would welcome it while other freeze from it..I be in just a flannel shirt for a coat while others be in thick coats to stay warm, sometime I would put my coat on cause it would go through my bone There no adjustment during the winter..I fell in depression (also one of them too), one look at my daughter got me through the depression..I wanted to give up, but my heart said another, yes I was a believer but I was not living it. Today Iam still that believer and yes I live it to show it and pray so walk it..The depression left me in the year 2003.. every now and then it comes back, and try me from time to time...I have a dear friend sense it and tells me snap out of it.. Believe me I will snap out of it may take a few days but I will snap it.. I thank God everyday for what walk I step on by faith . He is able and more then able He God He our Father..Glory to the Lord it his doing as I take the walk of it.. without him where would I be, hmm do not like that thought. scary... Blessing
