8:34 And he called to him the multitude with his disciples, and said to them, "If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 8:35 For whoever would save his life will lose it; and whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel's will save it.

10:12 "And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, 10:13 and to keep the commandments and statutes of the LORD, which I command you this day for your good?

6:14 Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 6:15 and having shod your feet with the equipment of the gospel of peace; 6:16 besides all these, taking the shield of faith, with which you can quench all the flaming darts of the evil one.
