I live in California at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton with my wife, Rachel, and my two dogs, Frisco and Koda. As you probably know, I am an Officer in the Marine Corps and I am currently serving as the Supply Officer for 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment. My wife and I volunteer at with the youth ministry at Lighthouse Christian Church in Oceanside. On Saturdays, Rachel and I volunteer at Palomar Christian Conference Center as horse wranglers.
Rachel and I have a lot of interest and hobbies that keep us pretty busy. We love to take road trips to National Parks and other interesting places so if you are looking for somewhere cool to visit just ask and either of us will be able to point you to an interesting place. I do a lot of hiking, camping, shooting, hunting, fishing, horse riding, and landscape photography in my spare time.
More than anything else, I like to get off the far edge of the map to places where no one else is. God created wild places to be a background for our adventures. All of the wild places on earth with all of the dangers and beauty were created that way by The Creator and when He finished He looked and saw that it was good. We do not serve a tame God. As C. S. Lewis wrote "Safe...Who said anything about safe? 'Course he isn't safe. But he's good. He's the King."
1:7 for God did not give us a spirit of timidity but a spirit of power and love and self-control.
12:10 A righteous man has regard for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel.
